On another forum (Wander the West) where I am part of the site team, I discovered that by editing phone and tablet photos, and changing the orientation, saving and then re-editing to restore proper/desired orientation, it cured the upside down issues. No idea if that will solve the issue here, but it’s worth a try. After editing, it displays correctly here and in iPhoto. Looks like that works… it’s an irritating way to fix the EXIF info from the camera, but it beats a stiff neck.
