  1. Hello Apex #2 from Apex #1, Hull #1738, 2Dreamin👋 Totally agree on the dinette cushion backs, it was annoying every time we got up from the dinette so I see a solution in our future. City water connection is on the curbside and Fresh water tank fill is on the street side. We got the compost toilet and are very happy with our decision, this was after months of contemplating it, then deciding not to do it and then changing our minds after talking with the Whitaker's at Denali National Park in Alaska earlier this summer. We did fill the fresh water tank to test out the pump and also testing out the pressure of the pump for the tankless hot water heater (THWH) and that worked great. To set our preferred THWH temperature, I hopped in the shower, turned on the faucet hot water only while DH was setting the temp to 107 which worked great for both of us actually. Using only the hot water side of the faucet eliminates cold spots with the tankless. The only time we experienced any issues was while at a campground that had 'low' water pressure which reduced how hot the water came out, the tankless also works on water pressure, this is where the fresh water pump came in handy. We find the EcoFlow to be a dream to manage, so much easier than our Airstream Interstate set-up, even after we had all the wiring ripped out, soft solar panels ripped off and an entire new battery system, inverter, etc and solar panels installed. We love the ease of operation with the EcoFlow. Enjoy your new Apex!!!!! Are you going to the rally? We are in site F20

  4. Douglas, Just reading your post about the Rally and site F22. We are taking delivery of our Apex, 2Dreamin, on September 14th and will be at the rally in site F-20. See you there!!! While waiting for delivery, we have gathered up items we kept from our Airstream Interstate Class B and replacing items we got rid of, uggggg. For the F350 SuperDuty a GenY Torsion Hitich with Locks, 100% extended no-drill Bedslide from Ford for easier access to the truck bed, Leer Cap, Rhino Rachet Straps, Rockstar flaps, Bulletpoint mounts and a Proven Coupler Lock for the Apex. BAL chocks between the wheels, Andersen Stabilizer Blocks, chocks behind the wheels, blocks for leveling (didn't get the curved Andersen levelers as we weren't sure of the distance of the mud tires since they are larger tires, can always add them later). LevelMate, 8 x 20 CGear outside mat, 2 x 10 runner for inside, Hasko paper towel holder, various Toolertries, thank goodness we had stuff left from our van...........but I still gotta get a broom, if I can remember, LOL!!! Hull #1738, still in the making with only 1 week left!!!!!
  5. With our delivery date on the horizon we are currently looking at insurance options. We have already received quotes from USAA/Progressive and Geico and waiting on a call from American Adventure Insurance. Our biggest concern is how any insurance company will respond if the Apex were to be damaged and who the insurance adjuster would assign to handle the repairs of the fiberglass and/or frame and how much push back we could possibly get from requesting it to be repaired by Oliver, of course, reading the entire policy to include the small print might give a little more insight when answering that question; however, any thoughts, recommendations, or suggestions would be welcomed especially from those that have had damage to the frame and fiberglass. We searched the forum and have read what was available. TIA. Hull #1738 in the making, delivery date September 14, 2026.
