  1. I have searched this topic and found others issues but mine seems unique. I have a 2017 Elite II. First my switch in the cabinet over the TV marked Blower is on, I have checked my fuse under the table and it is fine. I used my volt meter to check power at the fuse panel and it is good. I removed the fan fuse and checked it there and it is good. I checked the continuity of the fuse and it is good. I pulled the fan panel down and checked incoming power on the wires- none. The bathroom fan works and they are on the same circuit so from all this I can deduce somewhere from the fuse panel to the attic fan I have a power loss OR there is some circuit or switch I have forgotten about OR perhaps a sensor? I can manually open the cover but neither remote nor on fan buttons will turn it on....because it is not getting power. Any ideas? I have exhausted my trail.
  2. Yes turn the Furrion stereo input to AUX. You will have to turn up volume more. I like to turn the tv volume down. It will play through all four speakers but you can just play through front or back by selection on Furrion. My best sound comes from just using the back speakers next to the TV. If doesn’t work, check the RCA output connections on TV are good.
  3. Anyone else ever had a problem draining the freshwater tank? Up until recently, mine drained fine but this last trip, I turned the valves to drain and no matter what I did, it wouldn’t drain. Even opened the kitchen and bathroom faucets to make sure could pull air. I wound up having to run the pump through the system to get the water out. Any thoughts?
  4. Hi Matt. Great question. I have same situation. Don’t know the answer but would like too. Hopefully you will get an answer.
  5. Thanks Bill. I figured out that I had to set my Furion receiver to AV and turn the volume way up. It comes through the speakers but not until you hit about 35 on the volume number. My 2017 did have RCA audio video cables connected to the out on the TV and the in on the receiver. I just wasn’t turning the volume up enough. I don’t know why because the HDMI connection for DVD is not like that. I may call Furion and ask them. Shouldn’t be that way. There is an audio coax cable out on the TV but not an audio coax in on the receiver. That would give the highest and best sound quality. Not sure why Furion did it that way. Anyway it is working and with the AC on Low fan and the Receiver set to AV, I can now hear the TV well. I do believe the AC actually cools better on low fan.
  6. Has anyone experienced haveing the unit on Auto and have it cut off? Mine ran all night on high even set at 72. Also, the other thing that came up in this thread is listening to the TV through the stereo speakers. I see audio out cables from the TV in the wire group but they must not be connected to my Furion receiver. No selection plays TV sound through the 4 speakers, only DVD. The Furion receiver manual shows an Audio in but perhaps mine are not connected or I haven’t found the TV menu option to divert the sound. I did try the AC on low today and it is much much better even from the TV speakers..
  7. I didn’t see another setting on the thermostat for cool and low, only auto. Is there a manual override?
  8. Just read through all the post. I had the exact same question last week while camping in high humidity. Ran the unit all night and cannot hear TV well even using 4 speakers. The AC never cut on and off even if I set the temp higher. I assumed it should and I don’t know how to set the fan to low. Any answers on that?
  9. Just realized I never replied to my post as to what the problem was. The pump was bad. Oliver sent me a new one and no problems since. When I pulled the existing one out and direct connected it to a battery - nothing. I know it worked at the factory because there was plastic shreds in the filter. No other explanation.
  10. Thanks for posting this. We have only had our Ollie since Aug of 2017 but enjoying it when we can. I have been dismayed however at how fast the campgrounds fill up so far in advance. But no matter, as we really want to boondock on lakes and rivers anyway. Which brings me to my question; Do you know of places to go, or do you just plot a course and strike out? For the first 5 or 6, I am looking to know where I am going ahead. Trying to stay on the East side too until I retire and can just head out.
  11. Montana Oliver, you posted two pictures of a flexible curtain rod on this thread. Can you tell me where you got it and the model number? I am doing the same thing using 3Ms mushroom hook tape (like Velcro but 10x stronger and no fuzzy side) but the flexible rod I ordered off Amazon only flexes right to left, not downward to ride the curve on the ceiling i front of the commode. I need one like you have in the picture
  12. So I am assuming a 1/8” deep by 1/2” wild cut for the lip leaving 5/8” depth of plywood remaing on the lip to hold the total weight?
  13. I like your solution. Very nice and clean! I would buy it too.
  14. Here is the email from the Water Filter store on the ceramic filter and why he Recomended it: In the vast majority of cases, the Essential System will provide clean, safe, good tasting water. You would filter out sediment down to 0.5 microns, chemicals, VOC's, taste and odor issues, lead and heavy metals, and cysts (giardia and cryptosporidium). You would not have coverage for bacteria which is far less common than giardia. If you need coverage for e.coli or other coliform bacteria, you would need a ceramic filter. You would also need a pump to pull the water out of the river and push it through the filters. Any 12V RV pump would work for that. If you do need a ceramic filter and you have a pump, the D-UC filter would be an excellent add on to the Essential system to get the next level of purity. I hope this helps. If you would like to discuss feel free to call. Thanks for your inquiry! Dave
  15. Thanks for the info and links to the water filter store and sureflow pump. I emailed the water filte store and got a rapid response. I enquirer about the two canister link supplied by snowball. I wanted to know if that would cover all the beasties in unfiltered water. They replied if I really wanted to cover all bases to add to it a ceramic canister filter they also supplied. It only allows 1 gallon per minute but as John says don’t want to shortcut here. John I have a 110 volt inverter on my Ram 2500 and could use either that or my generator a you said. Even if I pumped directly into the Oliver, I would still need a pump I think but your idea is more likely. I too carry a generator and a 20 gallon poly propylene tank for same reason. Sounds like I have my answers. Appreciate all the help and links. I do have a call into the water filter store to fully understand if I need the ceramic filter or not since it drops to 1 gallon per minute, but no biggie either way. Welcome any other comments if I am missing anything.
  16. John, yes that is exactly what I am talking about. The one I saw was commercial but costs about $450. Probably could build your own for less. Where would you find the right kind of filters?
  17. Yes, pumping from a stream or lake. The one I saw on the forum had its own pump which coupled with the onboard pump worked. I agree just the onboard pump would not do it pulling through the micro filter.
  18. I read on hear somewhere that there was a filter with pump that ran off 12 or 110 volt but now can’t find the post. When I clicked on the link for the filter, the site was no longer available. Anyone know where I can find one. This one pumped 3 to 5 gallons a minute and had complete filtration just like a backpacking filter. I don’t feel complete with my boondocking equipment without one! Any info is appreaciated.
  19. We picked up out twin Legacy Elite II in 2017 and are really enjoying it but because I wish I had gotten the king bed. The factory tells me they charge $2800 to convert it. Has anyone done this themselves? I assume the factory takes out the nightstand which I like having but I don’t know. I would be interested in hearing if others have done their own conversion. We have the 8” mattresses so I suppose I would have to have a custom made middle section.
  20. After reading your post. (Thanks) I read somewhere else on the forum that the accumulator tank should be installed vertically but can’t find that now. Any thoughts?
  21. Thanks for the replies. Tried all the switches and fuses and all in on position or not blown. Thanks for the valve explanation. I did misunderstand that in the manual. It says, “Normal Valve Config”, Boondocking Config and Winterization config”. I failed to read under Boondocking the finer print this configuration was just for pulling in water. I didn’t do that. I just hooked up to a pressurized faucet and filled till it overflowed through the overflow outlet. Having done all the above and corrected my valve configuration, the pump still want come on. Maybe it thinks it is pressurized. I don’t know. I checked the wiring connections too. Don’t know what else to try. Everything else has worked just fine. Being my first trip out I keep thinking it is just a “biological user error” problem and hoped the valves would fix it but still trying.
  22. We took our new Ollie out first time this week to test things out. Mostly going well but first thing was a small leak in shark bite at hot water line. Caused water to weep out from bottom hull. Found leak and pressed down on Sharbite and it did move a little. Appears to have stopped the leak all but a little moist to the touch but not sure yet. Next I decided to try the boondocking water tank so I followed the instructions for filling my potable water tank, drove to my new site, set everything up, changed the valve configuration to boondocking for water, flipped the water pump switch and nothing. Light at switch did come on but pump never started running and after 15 minutes still never got any water. Couldn’t diagnose so moved to a hookup site. I am fortunate I was at a campground and able to do that verses just being out there. Anyone got any suggestions on if I am doing something wrong? I have a call into Richie but it is Sat. If anyone see this and would like to give me a call at 704.281.8608 that would be great. If we are able to diagnoise will post
  23. Thanks for the info. To STEVEnBETTY. That is what I was thinking as well. I don't know how many watts the AC pulls after start up but it is my understanding you can run the whole trailer with the 20A and would not exceed the capacity. But if I get the Honda 2000 with 30A and the shore line from the trailer is a 30A I would never exceed the capacity either but would have more if ever needed. Am I thinking correctly here? John thanks for your reply as well and other comments . My plan was to use the shore line which I assume is at at least 20A to connect to the generator. Thanks for the reminder to get the generator plug at the factory. I have that down on my list already from talking to the factory but good reminder. I am a little confused by your comments about the cable and overloading it if it is 20A or 30A. I did get the surge suppressor so I will check the other post out. I definately want to check the generator out out before I leave TN, which is why I posted. Need to buy the generator before we leave Wed to head out.
  24. Hello, I am picking up my Oliver this week, Thursday the 10th and will be stopping in Asheville on the way back but not hooking up to shore power. I purchased the Legacy Elite II with almost all the options including the power inverter and the new soft start for the AC unit. I want to go ahead and buy a generator to take and use on my stop in Asheville so I can have AC. It is my understanding that you now only need 2000 watts to start the AC with the soft start installed. I believe it was 3000 before. So I am looking at the Honda 2000 but one has the 30 amp plug and the other 2, 20 amps. My question is first am I correct in that I only need 2000 amps to start and second which Honda do I need? I will throw another question in there about the Yamaha 2400 amp. Someone else on the forum said that is a good choice in general. Since the soft start only became popular and offered by Oliver after the 2017 rally, there is not much info on this matter. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  25. Hi Mike. I am about to purchase an Elite II. I have a Dodge 1500 2004 Hemi. Same towing capacity as yours. Curious about a few things. Do you feel much up and down movement? I assume with duel axel it helps but the 2500 being stiffer just curious. Guess I am asking how much you feel it back there?
