Since retiring from the Army in 2013, I’ve been living in deep east Texas on the Toledo Bend reservoir which forms part of the border with Louisiana and surrounded by  the Sabine National Forest.  I’ve enjoyed camping all my life and only owned a small hard sided camper trailer for a couple years back in the early nineties.  I was in between overseas tours so I had to sell the travel trailer and my F250 tow vehicle before being reassigned to Germany again in ‘96.  During our family’s time in Germany, we saw a good portion of the continent first using tents and later a German Heineman pop up tent trailer.  I’ve been back in the states since 2005.  I’m finally making the leap into an RV again in 2021 with an Oliver TT.  I’m looking forward to meeting new faces, seeing the backroads, towns, and many of the sites folks have been talking about in this forum.
