Foy’s drawer inserts will still fit? We have them here waiting to go!
We had to take off the locking mechanism to fit Foy’s insert in and then replace the locking mechanism.

You would need a short wheelbase 4wd rental, ATVs are not allowed. Mountain bikes are OK.
Agree John! On our list to mountain bikes!

That is nice John. I have looked at those. They look cool if you get the Kashima coating. You pay more for them than 1UP but they have built in lighting and a built in cable lock. However, you could cut that cable with a small pair of cutters. They did just copy 1UP’s design.

Hello justjames and welcome!
We use the Proven Locks also. I followed a recommendation by AlbertNTerri and ordered the Ft. Knox puck upgrade. It is an impressive lock. Much heavier and more solid than the puck lock that came with the Proven Locks. In addition, the key is many times more complex. While not cheap, it seems like a worthy purchase, if you opt for the Proven Locks.

Mike,
I have interested in getting a water softener. Which one do you have, if you are satisfied with it?
Thanks,Kirk

first set of air bags this season. So please pardon the "New Bagger" question. I am hoping to be able to restore proper head light aim, and fully restore the truck to factory level so as to maximize spring travel. Is this realistic?
The Firestones we have will put your headlights right where you want them. It’s very easy and fast to adjust them to proper level or beyond if wanted to.

My singular intention was to try to dispel the constant fear that carrying a full tank of water will significantly affect your fuel mileage.
My real world experience is that I’ve never been able to tell a difference.
I agree. I have ever noticed a difference. I prefer to fill up at home and have less to do later in the road. In fact, we just walked back in from the garage, after filling our tanks, including the extra 15 gallons in the back of our truck bed.

Enough that it tilts the headlights up?
Our headlights were tilted up enough to cause problems for us and oncoming traffic. We added Firestone airbags with an air compressor and Bluetooth control via the Firestone app. It has been convenient and effective. Highly recommended so far.

Ram 3500 Cummins HO with the Aisin transmission
Our 2018 Ram has this transmission. We love it! We bought it new. We have the crew cab with an eight foot bed, single axel, and an aftermarket 42 gallon fuel tank. It is a pleasure to tow with. Going off-road, we definitely enjoy the torque the truck can provide. No regrets on the truck in any way. We have owned a dual rear axle truck (Ford F350 6.7 L) and I would never want one for the E2, mainly because of lost maneuverability. If a had to buy another truck today, I would make the same choice.

Thanks for the review RichM! I enjoyed reading it. Sounds like your delivery and your trip home went well. Congratulations!
Carrie and leave on our first longer camping trip this week, traveling to Arizona for a couple of weeks. Then, in first two weeks of May, a couple of weeks in northern California along the coast and a bit in the wine country.
Enjoying the journey!

Carrie and I are planning a California trip the first half of May. Thanks for the post. Hopefully we will get a chance to experience the upcoming bloom. We have caught one in Arizona several years ago.
Thank,

That's interesting. I guess OTT changed things for 2023. The process currently outlined on the Oliver site is what we had to follow: $2.5K to reserve a prodution slot, 50% (less the 2.5K) 90 days before production, and the remaiing balance due at delivery.
If you are paying cash, Oliver ask for 50% down. If you are financing, they ask for 15%. This is because there is no VIN at 90 days prior to production, so the financing cannot be completed until later.

They might be some of the demo models also, although the hull numbers don't go with that.

New Competitor for the Elite I?

We looked at those as an alternative. If they make a larger size with a double axle, they will definitely be after Oliver’s market for the E2.
