2" receiver as there hitch 1 1/4" was designed for certain amount of weight and going to a 2" receiver is going to let owners overload there designed hitch as
Hi Trainman,
I thought the hitch was originally designed for a two inch receiver and OTT put in an insert to decrease it to one and a quarter. I believe some owners have knocked out the insert and used it as a two inch receiver. Without an extender and with a light load that might be okay. Two of our bike have a combined weight of 31 to 45 pounds. I may want to reinforce the receiver, but I definitely plan on changing to a 2 inch receiver and doing it safely.🙂

Hi Jason, Kelly and Stormy! The balloon festival sounds like so much fun. Enjoy! My husband Kirk and I pick up our new Ollie December 5. Getting ready for our drive out to Tennessee in a few weeks. It seems that we have a lot in common with you guys (looked you up on Instagram). We too love IPAs, wineries, sailing, adventures and we have a silly standard poodle named Galena. Would love to meet you guys someday. Our home base is Twin Falls, Idaho. See you down the road. Carrie Peterson

Kirk, did you choose the Truma a/c?
Yes John, we went with the Truma air conditioner. On the rare time we use A/C, it will be nice too have a quieter machine. I also like the lower profile.

When is your delivery day? Ours is November 7.
We are scheduled for December 5th. We will drive out in a couple of days, spend a couple of days near Hohenwald, and then start working our way back to Idaho; probably via New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah.

Hi Lisa,
Welcome and congratulations! We have about 2 months to go before we finally get to pick up our Oliver.

the popular European design awning windows are acrylic and will scratch and cloud up but they are double pane and very well insulated.
This has been our experience. We had the double paned acrylic windows in our Black Series HQ15. We had a lot of thin delicate scratches on the windows. I definitely prefer double paned glass windows.

how you make it work with the small fridge, is it possible to install a larger fridge?
Hello and welcome Richard!
We have an Elite 2 on order for an early December delivery. We have had other campers. It has always been easy for us to keep a portable 12V fridge in the truck. We have an ARB Element and it has worked perfectly. We also have a small Dometic fridge we have used on occasion for a freezer.
Good luck, Kirk- 3

We haven’t used our TV in years. I’ve thought about removing it.
If OTT won't let up drop if off the build, the first thing I am going to do is to take it out and give it away.

I like it. There have been many trips I could have used something like that. It would still be nice if you were boondocking for a long time and wanted to conserve water. Thanks for posting the link!

like that the sites are generously spaces apart.
Actually, a lot of the site are relatively close to each other. But, the park is very well designed and most of the sites are very good. It can be very hot in the summer. Spring can be windy. Fall is the best time to visit.

I wonder what an overland Oliver model might look like
Interesting Don. Thanks for letting us know.
Seems like, with a good articulated hitch and a little more ground clearance and a lot of additional roads would open up for an Oliver.

We have had propane quick disconnects on the outside of a travel trailer fail secondary to disk and grime exposure. We had to replace one on our old trailer.

Welcome Bob and Frankie!
It is exciting discovering Oliver Travel Trailers, deciding they are the correct choice for you, and getting your order in. We found out about them mid fall 2021 and got our order placed. We pick up our E2 December 5th. We live in the west also, in Twin Falls, Idaho. There aren’t as many Olivers out west, but we are doing our part to change that!Kirk & Carrie

RV Locks replacement membranes.
Katjo,
You can also request a silicone replacement pad from them for a few extra dollars. Those might last longer.

Does Oliver have a 2” ALUMINUM receiver that can replace the 1.25 receiver for a 2” bicycle rack, on my 2022 Elite II?

Thanks for your reply John. I am planning on using the receiver you mentioned in a previous post and pairing it with a 1-up rack,
