Gliddenwoods
The fuse (see picture) for my inverter (or at least the fuse near the inverter) occasionally snaps to the off position. This has happen on no regular schedule or action/use I have been able to notice or can determine. With the fuse off the batteries no longer charge when the trailer is plugged in to shore power. After I re-set the fuse all is well and the system works and the batteries once again begin to get a charge. The question is...why does, or what can cause, this fuse to snap? Thoughts? Advice? Thanks. 2022 Oliver Legacy Elite II, Hull 1242, 9/26/22 Lithium Platinum Power/Solar Package Tow with Supercrew Cab 2019 F-150 4 x4, 5.0L 4-Valve V8 with 3.73 axle ratio & 157" wheelbase. It truly takes a fatal error to blow a 300A fuse (like connecting the battery lead to ground)! You would notice it for sure and generally the inverter would error and shut down first. These are cheap China made breakers, regardless of brand name. I’m surprise OTT uses these for the inverter charger. They used to use ANL or better Class T fuses. The breaker itself is most likely your issue. You can replace it with same brand for $76 on Amazon, or other brands for $20+. I just purchased 2 Class T fuses and holder for $120 plus tax. 3 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!
