Rain diverters over windows

After having the ceramic coating on the trail done, how do you stick the rain diverters over the windows. My grandson used mineral spirits to the the area, but the things just fell off on the ground.  Please tell me what to do.  Thank you all.

Nan, if CGI did your coating, I'd contact them on best practices.

My guess would be cleaning ONLY the area where the tape will be used, with something like isopropyl alcohol, to remove the coating. (We had to do that to remove years of wax when we applied ours, years ago. )
