DCKiefer Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 As in my earlier post about the door step shelf, I was looking for another location to carry my five gallon portable sewer tank. I was looking real hard, when laying under the trailer I noticed the space in the A-frame of the trailer tongue looked about right. I made a strap from some aluminum I had. This gives just enough to hold the tank. I then mounted a bungie cord to the middle frame member and a place to hook it to on the oppisite member. It's not difficult to reach. I leave the cap off the tank, since I am afraid I might loose it. Believe me that bungie cord is tighter than it looks in the pic and the tank is snug. I put the cap and other things on a shelf I added just behind the propane tanks. Small space, but every space is useful in a camper.
Moderator+ ScubaRx Posted February 25, 2009 Moderator+ Posted February 25, 2009 Very nice, very clever... I've thought about using that space for an air tank that I can store compressed air in. I had planned to make it out of some 8 inch schedule 40 PVC that I scarfed off a construction site about 30 years ago. (Packrat) You're right there is no sense in wasting space. desmo_pilot Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I plan to install an airtank in this area as well.

Moderators mountainborn Posted February 26, 2009 Moderators Posted February 26, 2009 It caught my eye also. I think he mentioned a shelf in the propane tank area. Maybe thats it. Good ideas in this post ! I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth 08' Oliver Legacy Elite HULL NUMBER 0003(sold)
DCKiefer Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Yes the plywood you see is a board I cut to cover the space just behide the propane tanks. I am able to squeze some small things in from one side and they can't escape to the road.
