Not sure who that was directed to but, if it was me, no we do not use the Anderson. I have an F-250 which has built-in sway control. When we had the 30’ Airstream we used a Blue Ox WD/Anti-sway hitch. I liked the way it towed but it was a pain to put on and take off. Once we decided to leave it off and I noticed no difference at all without it. Safe Travels, Brian

I picked up on 3/8 and was worried my lowest setting was going to be too high but actually had to raise it one notch. See the link above for the hitch I have. I chose the 2.5” shank so that there is no need for an adapter and I also chose the 5” drop with the dual-ball 2” and 2 5/16” inches. I chose the Bulldog 2 5/16” hitch on our Oliver. Tows like a dream (no Anderson) and very happy with the setup. Welcome! Brian

They should, from what I understand, the drawer was made taller so it should be “no factor”. BL

@Steve Morris Steve, I just found out (check the latest walk-through video just poster by Oliver) that the top hidden compartment was removed but they made the drawer below larger. Also indicating that you don't have the room in there for the compartment. We are already used to it so I am abandoning any thoughts of adding a hidden compartment. Just passing it along. Cheers, BL

Hello there! Congrats on the new Ollie. We picked ours up on 3/8, the week before you did. I am originally from NC (New Bern) and we most recently lived in Mooresville, near Lake Norman. We love the Boone area and have some friends up in West Jefferson. About two years ago we moved to western TN and love it out here. Yes, the “secret” storage that I planned to soft-line and store items you might want out of plan sight. The NS drawer is still there and you can opt for the lower door to the basement, we did not since we might one day want a lagun table. We wanted to live in it first to make that decision. BL

Congratulations, I am sure you will be happy with your selection. After 4 days of camping we went to the CAT scales and my rig was exactly 2,000 pounds lighter than it was towing the AS. We had a 30’ Flying Cloud. I was VERY pleased with the weigh ticket. Tows like a dream too. Cheers, BL

There was another thread about tires and wheels for 2023. I posted there but will repeat here. Our trailer came with Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT/LT tires in 225/75R16 size. I really like the tread on these tires and have had good luck with 16” LT’s on previous trailers. One other thing we were surprised about: The storage compartment below the nightstand is now GONE. All the videos I have seen show that compartment and we were actually looking forward to having it. We asked why it was removed and the only answer we got was “engineering made the decision not to continue with it”.

We took delivery of our Oliver LE II last week and we got the Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse AT tires in LT225/75R16. I really like the tread pattern and have had good luck with these tires before.

Yes, and the inspection is “on-going”. So far, we have had very few issues and the ones that could not be addressed while we were there will be addressed on the way to the rally in May. The build quality is excellent. We are still dealing with “new boat smell” and venting it out every day. The most significant difference between Oliver and Airstream is in the wiring and plumbing. Regardless of minor wiring issues people find here and there, this wiring is head and shoulders above AS. The plumbing is too. We have the best water pressure we have ever had in any travel trailer. I think it is a combination of a good pump, the accumulator tank and short-run plumbing. Whatever it is, we like it. Oh, one more thing. We always said AS is a two-season camper (spring and fall). The insulation is not that great. The Oliver, on the other hand, was cozy and warm. We are looking forward to an all season camper! Thanks for asking! BL

After a long wait, the day finally came last week. We picked up our LE II and could not be happier. We camped in it for two night on electric and water and then two nights dry camping. Temps were between 30 and 50 and we could not have been more comfortable. We have been on the forums for quite some time now so I won't introduce myself. Looking forward to meeting new people and putting some faces to forum names at the Owner's Rally in May. Great deal! I have the same GPS and I probably didn’t need the bracket but I bought it anyway. It went together seamlessly. I also opted for the 67 Designs Carbon Fiber Amps plate and a short Arm. This allows me to connect the magnetic part of the GPS mount to the amps plate and I get unlimited adjustments for viewing. I am going to mount my TPMS on another short arm and use a mag-mount on it, also from 67 Designs. This company has several examples of Built Right products on their page. Brian

That is awesome, I do have dual batteries and would be using up-fitter switches. I just don't have the means to make those parts right now. If you have a machine shop and are planning to duplicate this I would gladly pay for a second set of brackets. Definitely gave me something to think about. I read he was installing an air tank in the spare tire area. I have seen some installs where it takes the place of the spare. Not interested in that though. Are you going straight from the compressor or to a tank first? We are also registered for the rally, sounds like a good time. Brian
