  1. The issue seems to be two-fold: a) weak, flimsy wire, b) loosey goosey side-to-side snugness. I run the recommended tire pressure (55psi) btw. The shelves collapse frequently while we're stationary, just putting/taking stuff in/out of the fridge. Two to four pounds on one shelf seems to be enough to bend the wire and cause failure. I have confidence that our collective minds will be able to find a remedy. thanks
  2. Hello everyone, In our 2023 LE I with the all electric refrigerator, the shelves come loose frequently. Primarily the shelves are not snug in the side grooves in such a way that minor loads and/or moderate jostling cause them to fall out of the tracks (side grooves) making a jumbled mess inside the fridge. Has anyone else seen this? I hate to think that all of the Isotherm fridges work this way, there'd be a lot of angry users. The shelves are made of weak wire with inadequate side bracing. So far, I haven't come up with any reliable remedy. If anyone has ideas, I'd like to try it. We'll be at the rally, if anyone needs to see first hand. Thanks
  3. specifically I was referring to small twigs and leaves and seed pods being rolled up into the awning, without a ladder, short of parking next to a picnic table, there's not an easy way to brush it off. Our fabric appears to be something like sunbrella, but black, both top and bottom. I hadn't considered only putting it out halfway or less, I can try that. I'll keep trying the awning, but as it is today, I'm seriously considering taking it off and storing it. Previously, on an earlier class A, we had a Zip-Dee awning that was awesome. it had two points of attachment at each end, and could be sloped a lot to shed rain. The Zip-Dee rolled up in a reverse manner, which meant that stuff naturally just fell off as it was rolling. Thanks for the hints.
  4. We have a brand new OE 1 with a nice Girard awning. I can’t think of a situation where the awning adds anything to our experience. It doesn’t handle rain, wind,or snow. In the direct sun, being black on top and underneath it is actually hotter beneath it than without it. It appears to be pretty delicate, so I’m reluctant to even use it. There is no easy way to clear off tree droppings prior to roll it in. I see it as an unnecessary appendage. What am I missing?
  5. Meet Tilly! Our Great Pyrenees. She loves going places, and is becoming a real good camper. She loves walking on footpaths in the woods. We’re teaching her to not bark at everything that moves, and she’s getting better every trip. At night she curls up by the door, out of the way in our Oliver. In the car, she has the back seat area all to herself (we took out the rear seats). 22 months old, and is pretty good girl' but sometimes behaving like a moody teenager. She never goes off leash outside, and wears a “FI” tracking collar. She thinks everyone is here to give affection and belly-rubs. Pretty chill dog overall.
  6. I have a Generac IQ2000 inverter generator. It weighs 46 lbs, is as quiet as the 2000 watt Honda. I don't think it is a current product, but may be available on the secondary market. Mine works well, starts easily, only runs on gasoline. I have used it as a backup at home, where it powers both my furnace and refrigerator as long as they both don't start at the same time. In our OEI, it will recharge the standard batteries in about 1.5 to 2 hours.
  7. We just returned from a national forest campground without hookups. I have a 5 yr old Generac IQ2000 inverter generator (1600 watts, 2000 peak). This generator weighs 46 lbs, and fit perfectly in the tongue basket on our LEI. I was able to operate the generator for about an hour and a half every morning after breakfast. With the electric-only fridge, the standard twin deep-cycle batteries went down to 12.2VDC overnight. We supplemented with solar during the day (I have 200 Watt suitcase solar from Renogy). We never tried to start the Truma AC, I didn't want to try, pretty sure it was a no-go. I was most disappointed with the solar as due to tree cover, there was only about 4 hours of direct sunlight every day, without the generator, we'd have been without refrigeration.
  8. Looking real nice. Enjoy the heck out of it. Bill and Mary Ellen #1352
  9. We’re also in northwestern North Carolina, near Boone. Just picked up 1352 LEI, on Tuesday 3/14/23. Always happy to meet more happy campers.
  10. Hello to all. New owners to be delivery March 14, 2023. We ordered a LE I. last October after a factory tour. Looking forward to taking delivery March 14th. One night camping at the factory, then two more nights camping at Tennessee state parks on the way back to our house in northwest North Carolina (Boone area) Out tow vehicle is a 2021 Jeep Gladiator with factory tow package (6200# rating). Payload is a bit of a concern, but I’ll take as much out of the Jeep prior to heading out in March. I installed Redarc brake control. we have about 20 nights camping scheduled (reservations) in April and may, including the Oliver rally in May. what items do we need to get and/ or have with us prior to delivery? (Locks, adapters, cords, cables…?) I have already gleaned a lot of useful info from lurking here for several months. thanks for everyone sharing their experiences, it helps tremendously.
