  1. I have the new fridge (2-way) and wondered how to turn off. Plus, I always leave frig door open when storing and now I have to deal with the light. Guess I will pull the fuse and breaker.
  2. Solar in upper cabinet, this is labeled INVERTER
  3. Not sure if the RED disconnect switch for the inverter has been on previous trailers or this new for 2024? It's located next to inverter. When would I need to turn this Off? I was told to just turn OFF batteries when storing trailer (3-4 weeks) between trips. Storage location has no power or sun. thanks
  4. Bummer! One of the reasons I sold our Escape and bought an E2 (pickup April) was for the service. I hope that our new E2 doesn't require any warranty work which I have to VISIT a dealer! I'm not too fond of Auto or RV Dealers. I was very happy with the warranty service we received from our 21' Escape. Every issue was addressed and resolved quickly. Since Escape is located in Canada, there are no US service centers. You call, they give u an authorization, u get it repaired, they reimburse. A few times I had parts sent to my house and I replaced. Plus, they even paid for a Mobile Tech to fix an issue while traveling.
  5. This is what I was planning to do with our new Ollie, same procedure I used with our Escape and Casita. Live in the South Texas, so we do get an occasional below freeze temp. 1. Drain all tanks (black, gray, fresh). 2. Turn the HW heater values to bypass, 3. Drain the HW heater. 4. Blow compressed air (40psi) through the lines to eliminate any water (taps, toilet, outside shower). 5. Run water pump for a few seconds to remove any water. 6. Pour small amount of anti-freeze in traps, including toilet (seal). Our Ollie will have compost toilet and Truma HW, so the process will change a bit. Still learning how to maintain lithium batt in cold temp. thanks
  6. Here is my experience with this in 2023. Received a recall notice for our Suburban propane cooktop, contact any Suburban dealer for a replacement. Cooktop caused fires and needed to be replaced. After contacting many Suburban (RV) dealers near me, no one wanted to help because I did not buy RV through them. Contacted Escape (manufacture of RV) and explained my situation. They shipped a different brand (Dometic) to my house and I installed.
  7. My experience with this. When I went to order a 2024 model in January, my info was given to the dealer in my network. After speaking with dealer, I decided to order and pickup 'Direct' through Oliver. I really didn't want a 3rd party (dealer) to communicate with. I wanted the whole Oliver experience, from communicating with the Oliver Team, driving to TN, factory tour, and staying @ Camp Oliver for any post sales issues. I did this with our Escape in Canada and liked the process. Thanks Oliver for not pushing me to order from a dealer.
  8. Hello, Scott and Conni checking in. We are excited to join the Oliver Club! Our delivery date for our Elite 2 is soon. Now that I finally retired (Air Force), we wanted a trailer more boondocking ready with twin beds. We have owned Airstream, Casita and Escape. Anyways, hope to see y'all down the road!
  9. Hello, I have a delivery date in April and wanted to know (based on your date), was there a delay for getting your trailer on that date? I'm wanting to make lodging 'reservations' before and after pickup. I am planning on spending the night @ Oliver after pickup to check systems out. thank you
  10. Hello Oliver travelers! I live 3 miles from Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park Campground (very nice park). The park has tennis, pickleball, nature trail, golf, pool (closed), fishing, and airport. The city is expecting 200,000 viewers. Population here 12,000. Expect lots of crowds if going into town. Expect more general aviation noise than normal due to the amount of planes coming in. Expect the grocery store (HEB) to be out of items! Expect lines to fuel up. Expect price inflation. The city has a task force to deal with the crowds\traffic. Anyways, do all of your touring and shopping before the big day. I am planning on walking around the campground a few days prior to the event so I can meet some of y'all. I got word yesterday our delivery date for our 2024 Elite 2 is April 10th. We didn't want to miss the Eclipse so we are heading to Hohenwald on the 9th. I think based on the traffic, we will leave wee hours in the am. Happy Trails--scott
