GrayGhost
Not sure is anyone is interested, but posting anyway... our first real mod is done to accommodate our 18 pound furry traveling companion... she demands to sleep at the foot of our bed, but the twins in Ollie aren't big enough. So added a 18x30 cushion between the beds for her. The support is light weight, fiberglass covered nidacore. It's stiff, flat, strong and weighs a little over two pounds. The support can serve as a table if desired, and the cushion can serve as a back support up against the kitchen counter when watching movies. The support stows under the mattress when not in use. It's short enough so that we can still get out of bed easily at night. 8 GrayGhost 2015 Legacy Elite II Hull # 98 2020 F150 3.5 EcoBoost
Hikegsm
Looks pretty nice! We have a couple little ones too. They are bed hounds as well. We hope they will be content to have their bed below the nightstand on the floor. One is small enough to fit okay on the bed with us but the other not so much. We will see soon I guess. Thanks for posting. You did a great job! yvonne 1 Yvonne & Doug 2017 Legacy Elite II, twin bed Hull #223 2017 Ford F-250 Lariat, crew cab
Moderator+ ScubaRx Posted April 12, 2017 Moderator+ Share Posted April 12, 2017 Where's your baby's cover? Sometimes it gets cold at night!!! Very well done, and a great idea. Try2Relax
End result looks really good. The grooves for the king bed table mount/bed are still under the twin bed fiberglass extensions, for those not wanting to cut up the rails. 2 Randy One Life Live It Enjoyably 2017 F350 6.7L SRW CC LB 2015 Oliver Elite II Hull #
GrayGhost
My part is done....the bedding material to cover the cushion is the responsibility of her mother.????. On our Ollie, the extension for the twin mattress rests on the flange for the king set up, so could not use that. The extension notched very neatly with a dremel diamond disc, with no chipping of the gel coat. Then rounded the sharp edge with dremel sanding drum. Montanaclays
Dumb question but what did you do with the nightstand? Is the above mentioned mattress cut to fit around the nightstand? 2014 Elite ll 2014 F150 wanting a king W/0 expensive conversion
GrayGhost
We only use the small filler cushion and the underlying support at night when the dog is with us. The filler cushion is removed and and support section is stowed away under the mattress during the day. So the only time we do not have access to the drawer in the night stand is when we are asleep.
