vedamen
Phil, I would love to come, but that is the middle of peak for tax season. My fellow workers at HR Block may chain me to the desk if I even hinted that I wanted off during that time. I know that it will be a fun gathering. Do a moment of silence for those of us that are having to work during tax season as we will be green with envy.

dougi
Johnson City is home to the Hill Country Cupboard, a cafe that was rated as one of the 40 top small town cafes in Texas (Dec, 2008 edition). Nearby there is the little town of Luckenbach (22 miles), and the larger town of Frederickburg (30 miles), and the LBJ State Historical Park (10 miles), all of which would make for a nice side trip while we are in Johnson City. Fourteen miles south is the town of Blanco. A short distance to the east (about 10 miles) is Pedernales Falls State Park, a beautiful State Park. Plenty of places to go and things to do while we are in Johnson City. We're looking forward to being there.
swd4271
I have begun the looking for a travel trailer. I just keep coming back to the Oliver and the website. I am wondering since Johnson City is much closer to me that Tennessee if I could come by one day that weekend and be able to see the Oliver and visit with some of y'all about your Olivers? Thanks so much for the forum it's great. Patty in Hilltop Lakes, TX
Moderators mountainborn Posted February 1, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2009 Welcome to the Oliver Forums, Patty, that is the way that Betty and I got our first look at a Oliver. We went to the River Valley Egg Ralley in VanBuren Arkansas in 2007. I guarantee that the Oliver owners that are planning to attend would be glad to show their trailer to you. Pete and Doug have both built their Ollies to suit their camping style, so that will give you some good ideas there may be others, but those come to mind right off of the bat. I'll bet they will be on here shortly with a personal invitation for you to view . I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth 08' Oliver Legacy Elite HULL NUMBER 0003(sold)
Moderators bugeyedriver Posted February 1, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2009 Patty, Come on by spot #7 and you'll find Oscar the Smiley Dog and me hanging out, unless we're visiting many of our good friends in the Casitas surrounding us. We JUST returned from the Miller Creek RV Resort and you couldn't find a more hospitable place to camp. When you own your own trailer, of whatever flavor, you must check it out. If you can't find me, call me on my cell and I'll hoof it back to the Wonder Egg. (830-688-9809) Pete & "Bosker". TV - '18 F150 Super-cab Fx4; RV - "The Wonder Egg"; '08 Elite, Hull Number 014. swd4271
Pete and Oscar the Smiley Dog, Thank you so much for the invite to see your Oliver and of course meet Oscar at Space #7. My Mother probably will be with me so I won't get to come down until Saturday. Hope to get there late morning. I really appreciate this forum, it's a definite help for someone that is just beginning the thinking and looking for a travel trailer. Of course I am still trying to figure out if it really makes sense financially. Thanks again and hope everyone has a great week! Patty
dougi
Hi Patty, You are, of course, welcome to look at our Oliver as well. I don't know what space I will be in (We don't have Pete's connections) but we expect to be there somewhere. Out trailer has the twin bed option, while Pete's has the double bed option, so you will get to see both. Hope to see you there, Geneva and Doug
