Rusty Pantry Shelf Support

Anyone have a remedy for the rusty tips of my pantry shelf supports?

Scrub partially rusted metal areas with a small wire brush to remove flakes and powdery surface rust, then prime with a rust-inhibitive primer. Once done, you can paint over rust.

Make up a slurry using Zudd cleanser and white vinegar. Brush it on the affected areas with a soft brush and let it work until the rust stains disappear. Wipe off the residue, rinse with isopropyl rubbing alcohol , and blowdry with a hairdryer.  Touch up the ends with this product.
