  1. I started lubing my suspension late Saturday afternoon and found 2 zerk fittings that would not take grease.  So I took them out and they still wouldn’t take any grease .   I went to NAPA after church yesterday and handed the fittings to the NAPA man and asked for 10.  He pulled 2 packages of 5 each and I was on my way.  We celebrated Mother’s Day with my mother-in-law and I crawled back under the trailer late yesterday and found the fittings would not screw in.  Crawled back out into better light a found the were press-in fittings.  Back to NAPA today and traded 10 press-in for 10 screw-in fittings.

While waiting for the rain to clear, I read some more of this post and saw JD's posting about finding 2 holes in his hull also.  I finally got back under the trailer and install the 2 zerk fittings and finished the grease job.  Then I started inspecting hull #193 and found 2 spots behind my front axle.  They are nearly perfect circles about  65% of the way around.  When I rubbed the, my first thought was it was a sticker about the size of a nickel.  I started rubbing them with some solvent and a rag and found out the are not stickers but holes in the gel coat.  Funny thing is that one turned green and the other pink after the solvent.

Now I see Yukon's last post and will wait and see what the process for repair will be.

  2. Congratulations on your new to you Oliver.

the one breaker is turned off ? Check the breaker/fuse label on the inside of the breaker panel door.

Also what is the red knob for and the black box. The red knob looks like a battery shut off.  It probably turns off the supply 12v into the trailer.  The black box is a remote display for the surge protector.

Stove is not getting gas but propane port is getting gas.  I don’t have an answer for the gas issue at the stove.

How to manually raise and lower all jacks.  On the top of each jack is a manual bolt for a wrench.  If you look under either rear bed or couch, you can see it at the top of the jack.  You have to remove the level from the front jack to see it.

If you have not seen it already, the is a Oliver University tab that has most all of the manuals for your trailer.  Click the label "Travel Trailers" on the main page of the Oliver website.  That will open a list of topics and the “Oliver University” label is at the bottom.  There you can find the manuals.

Good Luck at keep asking for help, there is usually someone available to help.

  3. Cedar Forks:

Your three files really simplify our understanding of the water systems in my 2018 Olive Elite II. I hope that you don’t mind, but I combined the three files and reformatted them a bit to fit on one page.

I can't open your *.docx  files.  Can you repost it as a pdf?

    Thanks,

  4. We have the Southern Mattress's and really like them.  Like Oliver, they are family owned and operated, very easy to deal with and will customize the mattresses to your choices.  Our LEII was originally a standard bed configuration which the factory converted to a twin beds.  Southern Mattress shipped the mattresses to Hohenwald, so they where ready to go when we returned.  No regrets.

  5. I’ll be interested to see what everyone does. We turned on our refrigerator 3 years ago when we picked up our Oliver and haven’t turned it off since. It’s on 110v in storage and when we have hookups and on propane when boondocking and traveling. We’ve had it on 12v a couple of times when going through tunnels where we had to turn propane off. Mike

    Mike,

Do you turn off the propane off when refueling your TV? I never have but I’m not as experienced as a lot of other members. I recently saw a posting about the safety issues of leaving it on while traveling and refueling. Then as I read your response to John's question, I remembered I needed to ask that question.

  6. Can’t say about the Ram, but I’ve been using Timbrens on my Raptor and they work well. They keep the truck super stable and as you can see by the photo below, very level. My pads are a bit long, so they do change the ride when they’re on, but it’s just two bolts to take them off. I’d say that when they’re installed the truck feels very similar to what a Super Duty feels like. I think my pads could be an inch shorter and the truck would still be level enough.

I am running the Timbren’s on a Land Cruiser and the initial springs were resting on the axle after installation.  I contacted Timbren and they sent me a shorter set of springs at no charge.  It would be worth a call and see what they suggest.

  7.

For whatever reason, I always tend to find mud and dirt when I’m outside and I’ve been thinking what I can do without a “mud room” per se.

This is where some of us park our shoes and boots. I usually keep my house shoes there while I am out getting dirty.

  8. If you order the plastic razor blades, be sure to get the double edged ones.  They hold up much better than the chisel edged ones.  I took one for the team and bought a 100 pack of the chisel edged ones.  I’ll sell the 98 I have left cheap and throw in a bridge to boot?.

On the alcohol subject, I have had trouble with 3M tape products sticking to the Ollie.  As usual for me, I sometimes read the directions after I have experienced trouble.  The directions for a tape product I was using recently suggested the enclosed alcohol prep pad or use a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water.  So far so good.
