This is the rafter fixing point for the trailer side. And I usually tighten the rafter knob before raising the awning to a height I can't reach. Mossey

It stores quite nicely on a bed with a blanket on the fan housing when underway. The real benefit for us is its mobility and ventilation support. Mossey

Our first RV experience was a Class C rental in Alaska in 1999. When you are still working and Alaska is calling, an RV rental is an awesome way to answer. We shared our 3 week rental with friends that were Class A owners and shared their knowledge and expertise, making the experience a joy. However you get to Alaska, you’re sure to have an amazing RV adventure! Mossey

Northwest parks late summer, early fall
mossemi replied to Dennis and Melissa's topic in General Discussion
This information is from September 2022, so it’s not as current as you might want. We started this portion of our trip in Ottawa, IL after my mother’s family reunion and the destination was TRNP before heading back to Florida. THNP has 2 campgrounds, Cottonwood is in the south unit and Juniper is in the north unit. Cottonwood has about 70 sites in 2 loops, north and south. The south loop has small areas and it would be cramped for a LE2. The north loop has larger sites, more suitable for LE2's and larger rigs. We could not get a reservation in Cottonwood in advance, so we booked a night in Sully Creek SP, just south of Medora. We headed to Cottonwood first thing the next morning. There were not any campground hosts available when we arrived, so we proceeded to drive through the campground, we didn’t see anything large enough in the south loop and then found 3 available in the north loop. Since I always what to know what’s around the corner or over the hill, we drove around the north loop again and found 2 of the available sites were already taken. We took the 3rd spot and I walked up to the self serve check-in station and filled out some paperwork. We ran into a campground host while walking back to our site and he showed us a site that was reserved for the new shower/restroom building construction crew and said that we could use it for the next 3 nights because the crew was off for a few days. So we moved to that site and had a great stay. We did drive to the north unit to see the Juniper campground and over all liked the north unit better, less people but also so less to see and do. We wanted to say in Custer SP in South Dakota, but couldn’t find anything and headed to Badlands NP and dry camped for 3 nights, just off SD-240 about 9 miles south of Wall, SD and before you get to the entrance to Badlands NP. Look for a dirt road on the left and other campers a mile or so off the highway. You should also be able to see 2 or 3 radio towers several miles in the distance also on the left or east side of SD-240. Drive along the dirt road until you find something you like. A word of caution, it's very windy! Good luck, Mossey Cottonwood campground - TRNP Outside Badlands NP on SD-240 -
@csevel is the leak/drip visible from the outside or the inside? Hose connected or not? Are you trying the fill the fresh water tank? Mossey

Since I don’t own a 1/2" Allen wrench, I carry a 5/16" bolt and 2 nuts back to back to create a 1/2" Allen wrench. Tightening the Oliver hose bibs is the only time I remember ever needing a 1/2” Allen wrench, so I used what I had available. Mossey

SeeLevel sensors integrated with Victron system

@rideadeuce do you still use the bumper sewer hose compartment with your modified bike rack? If so, please let us know how the 20' hose fits into it and if you can leave it connected all of the time. Mossey

Towing Brake Controllers - Best Aftermarket Models?
mossemi replied to jd1923's topic in Towing an Oliver
That's one opinion and mine is totally different. When I made the decision to buy an Oliver, I took delivery in Georgia. The seller and I had made the deal in November, so I had about 6 weeks to get my 2014 Land Cruiser ready. I needed an Andersen WD hitch and brake controller. My first was Tekonsha Prodigy 3 and I could not find a place to mount it that wasn’t in my way and it looked like a deck of cards screwed to the dash. So l bought a Redarc, which plugged straight into the Toyota wiring harness. I remove a blank button cover on the dash and modified it to accept the joke as you call it and the Redarc looked great and work flawlessly for the 5 years I used it in the Land Cruiser. Mossey -

Window frame is loose on the bottom

Just so I have a clear understanding of this issue, is it the frame of the window shade or the actual window? Mossey -
I completed our new Nova Kool R5810 AC/DC refrigerator installation before our trip to the 2025 OTTO's Rally and the 3 week shakedown was everything we hoped for! I want to thank all of the early adopters, Try2Relax, MountainOliver, Geronimo John, Ty J and rideadeuce, who preceded my installation and shared there experiences. I have attached a few pictures that are similar to those that have already been posted. I would also like to shout out to David & Kristine Hess, Cooper Jenkins and the rest of the folks at Sea Biscuit Metal Designs for their help and creation of the upper and lower vents for my refrigerator installation. If you need something custom made from metal, they are my goto team! Mossey

New Epoch 300AH Essential Battery, all going well except…
mossemi replied to routlaw's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
I had forgotten about Bill's Lithium installation and the issue he found with his shunt. When you are investigating your battery cable’s, be sure that every negative wire or cable is on the correct or load side of the shunt. There should only be a single negative wire or cable attached to the negative battery post. When wired correctly, the shunt will have the ability to read all 12V usage. Does the Epoch battery have an app the you are reading the SOC with or are you reading the Blue Sky remote? Mossey -
New Epoch 300AH Essential Battery, all going well except…
mossemi replied to routlaw's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
For the sake of calculations, I believe the Blue Sky Solar Controller 3024iL is a MPPT type solar charge controller. Since this is the first time charging the battery for this installation, Rolind's comment about the SOC and the BMS is correct. The SOC is a calculated value and drift is a common occurrence. Water pump not working -- problem solved -- FYI
mossemi replied to ZLarryb's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
ZLarryb, the plastic connector/tee fitting nut is the red notation. the black plastic tie-down is the yellow notation. the green arrow is pointing to the green "witness marks". Witness marks are sometimes used to mark a 2 part connection like a nut and bolt or in this case it marks both sides of the water pipe connection. It is marked during installation on both sides of the connection and it is a quick visual confirmation of a connector being in the original position or not. Due to the angle of your picture, I can’t verify its position because I can’t see both side of the mark, but you can do a quick verification. Mossey
