  1. Hi Bugz! I had that soap dispenser in my Margerita Casita in bath and it worked great. One thing I noticed is that fiberglass on the Oliver is very sturdy and thick compared to the Casita! Bathroom dispensers also very cool! Thank you for the album showing "how to"!!!! Chuck
  2. Hi!!!! I don't use that Skyway, just straight up I-75 but thanks for the info! Looking forward to seeing you and all the suction cup holders. PM'd you the park in Dade and email address. Chuck
  3. Hi there mountainborn! How does the 200# xtra tongue weight effect handling? Been thinking of putting my Honda 2000 on the tongue also. It's converted to propane already so I'm anxious to see your mounting. On the short tongue adj now and it handles great! Chuck
  4. Brought some pieces of the rubber stuff along on our trip to pickup Ollie and it worked great. Cushions stayed on well in some nasty rock n roll winds and winding country roads. Probably gonna' keep bed set up as this worked well in my Casita. Have a nice long rolling tub for storage that fits nicely under bed. Chuck
  5. Hi Angler! I will be at the Lake San Antonio Fiberglass Rally with my Oliver in mid May along with an assortment of other brands of fiberglass trailers. Chuck
  6. Hi again! I have a propane converted Honda 2000 i and from a weight standpoint, it is your best bet as it is under 50# and can be lifted in and out of a truck.( I hate to carry gas) The Yamaha 2400 is offered in a tri fuel(propane, nat gas and gasoline) is more powerful and heavier, I believe about 80#. My Honda ran the Casita A/C only or turn ff A/C and use everything else ie turn off A/C to pop popcorn or use hair dryer of watch TV, etc. I believe the A/C compressor in the Oliver is more efficient and therefore you may be able to run Tv also. The off brands are usually very noisy though I have read that the Kipor uses either a Honda engine or a copy and is pretty quiet. Personally, I would stay with a Honda or a Yamaha. My Honda usually starts on 2nd pull and is easy to start. Yamaha offers electric. Hope this helps, Chuck
  7. Hi Sherry!! Think there is a Camping World very close to you that carries the paper towel holder. It has a five rounded point design on both ends and looks like a regular paper towel holder. EXCEPT it's 2 pieces, The base mounts to whatever and the papertowelholder pulls out and you can take outside or wherever. My Casita friends had one and gave me the one that was sold with my Casita. Lucked out at the CW in Dothan,GA and they had one for Ollie. I will probably be at Pleasant Lake RV Resort in Bradenton Thurs, Fri and Sat and leaving Sun to meet up with my girlfriend in Dade City Sun, Mon and Tues if ya'll meet up somewhere. Will bring papertowelholder mounted or not! Regards, Chuck
  8. Hi Bamaflyfisher! Tom gave good advise as there are several $ options and SOOOOO many cool things offered. Just picked mine up and I love it. Buffalobob and all at factory are very helpful and up front about everything. Chuck
  9. Hi Bugz! Thanks for posting the pics! Having done a lot of Casita mods, the first hole is the hardest! I know, these ain't Casitas but they will need a FEW mods and/or personalizations!!!! Got the slideout paper towel holder from CW and will have to drill a couple of holes to install it. Also, will be putting in 2 "assistance handles" back to back in bath thru to short wall next to closet for assistance getting in and out of entry door. Other than that, prob use suction cups! The Oliver is so well thought out, it's hard to find something to change!!! Has anyone "treated" the back of the mirrored bath door to preserve the silvering? Thinking of a urethane of some kind. Any thought?? Chuck
  10. That kitchen area looks great!!!!!!!!!! Where did you get the sink cover???? Did I understand right that the suction cup stuff came Target?? Mountainborn, FYI Camping World carries a slideout paper towel holder that will have to be riveted or bolted in the cupboards but can be removed and taken to the table or outside. Bought one but not installed yet. Had it in Csita and never lost the towels!
  11. Ollie made it fine to Florida despite the lousy weather. Great maiden voyage!! Chuck
  12. Hey Mountainborn, The weather in Hohenald wasn't much better than ya'll been hitting out west! No snow but wind, cold n rain. But "Ollie" followed us home like a trooper!! Drive careful! Chuck
  13. Picked up 'Ollie" yesterday and stayed at Naco/TT campground. Area around here is gorgeous even in the rain!! Everybody at Oliver factory is GREAT! Pleasant, helpful and gracious. Will be headed home tonite so hoping weather improves! Love Ollie!!!!! Better than expected!!!!
  14. Isabug!!! I'm about 20 miles from Hohenwald, TN, the Mfg Facility for the Oliver , waiting for the sun to RISE, to pick up my OLIVER!!!!!!! My understanding is that Classic Oliver is a basic (for Oliver) from which you select from a very long list of options. The Elite is the pretty well loaded Oliver with only a few options. Mine is an Elite with all options but the 15" tires and a custom extra(a Maxxaire vent). The factory will and has added almost anything that is possible, ie Solar panels, cell phone boosters, Maxxaire vents, etc. to their extremely well made travel trailer and is very willing to work with the customer to make it perfect for THAT ONE customer. I enjoyed both of my Casitas but when I saw the Olivers in Quartzsite,AZ, I was not looking for a new trailer as I had done a lot of modifications to my Liberty, but the double hull construction, double pane windows, drawers, window coverings, LED lighting, better designed holding tanks, fixtures, entertainment center, ease of hooking up etc., I was hooked. Anymore questions, wait a week or so and I'll be glad to answer. Chuck
  15. Hi! Just got into Applachicola/Eastpoint! Unloading stuff over the next two days to go get "Ollie, Ollie Oxen Free"( named in honor of Col Oliver North! ) Will be in Hohenwald Sun Nite and at factory Monday Morning!! We can't wait!!!!!!!!!! Chuck!!!
  16. The Casita only has material on ONE side. The "underside' is thin vinyl so they can't be flipped for double the use!!!! This supposedly helps to keep from sliding, didn't work for me. Chuck
  17. Hi Dusty! JC Whitney and several other aftermarket folks sell a camera that mounts on the rear licence plate of your TOW VEHICHLE and screen is on dash that is a big help when hitching up by yourself. Price is about $90-100 and supposedly VERY easy to install. At Quartzsite, where I saw my Olivers, both the modelsof the Olivers had a camera that mounted on the TRAILER with a screen on dash of tow vehicle but did not have an opportunity to try it. It looks like it would make life a lot easier in a lot of the backin campsites! Chuck
  18. My Teflon brain forgot to include the rest of what I wanted to say to Whaley! The pads that will attach to your hitch and side stabilizers are called Sand Pads and several dealers carry them for a permanent mounts. I have always carried carried xtra blocks of wood for some of the boondocking I've done. These could also double as wheel chocks if you feel you need them. Old age produces teflon on the brain....Chuck
  19. In both my Casitas, I've just used the same Wally World Propane grill, though the last one came from Ace Hdwe $29.95 and they last about 2 years. Then throw away all BUT THE REGULATOR!!!!!Keep that for a spare for you or someone else!! The legs foldover the top for a easy to store unit. Use a hose/propane rig similiar to mountainborns. Chuck
  20. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I get mine in early March and will be visiting new Grand daughter in Bradenton late march, we'll have too see about a mini rally!!!!! Currently enroute to Apalachicola/Eastpoint FL to put my stuff into storage, see my girlfriend and we'll go up to pickup "Ollie". !!! Assumed you used the half ton truck,, how was handling???? Hope to me you soon, Chuck!
  21. Those plastic bag holders are great. Another method of fastening them is the silver or gold 2 " plastic suction hooks. Haven't seen in stores but numerous mail order cats offer them. The hook swivels up, put a little moisture on the suction cup and position on flat smooth surface and swivel hook down. I gave mine to the great couple that bought the Margerita Casita as they liked them. They'll hold about a blue jeans full of change, wallet ,keys etc. with no problem! Gotta' find some more. "Solutions" or Home "Solutions" catalog jogs this old teflon brain for some reason. Chuck
  22. Being a FIRM believer in sway bars, I hope someone from factory will wade in with a "Redneck" understandable explanation to this phenomon!!!! Please!!! Chuck
  23. Met Lane and the Beautiful poodle girls last nite for a quick dinner. As nice in person as he is on the web. He's enroute Monterey,CA for a bit. Chuck
  24. Nice workmanship!!
  25. Thanks for posting that. I'll file it away. These trailer have more little ideas built into them. Had the switch bought but not yet installed in the Casita when it sold so gave it and my other uninstalled stuff to the new owners. Great couple that will fun with the Margerita Casita
