  1. Are you using the DSR-125 charger?
  2. Thanks. This being the case I may be able to use the charger I have for my motorcycle after all. This is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-SP1297-Automatic-Battery-Maintainer/dp/B0756PV96N/ref=sr_1_17?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIt7D927_l5QIVyB6tBh3kYgZiEAAYASAAEgI-u_D_BwE&hvadid=174223006284&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9029574&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=1694643076319705681&hvtargid=kwd-2152926210&hydadcr=24627_9648891&keywords=schumacher+battery+charger&qid=1573590051&sr=8-17 So understanding that this CAN be done, is there one charging configuration that is better than the others (2x 12V vs. 4x 6V vs. 1x 12V? Any advantages of one over another? I am considering a lithium upgrade next season but not sure yet as it will have to include a new charger and I would probably upgrade the inverter as well. Go Blue! :)
  3. Hope everyone had a good weekend. We saw the new movie MIDWAY yesterday and it was awesome! Our 2017 has 4 trojan 6V flooded with the hydralink system. I topped off the water today and removed the neg cables to the trailer. The RV is in covered storage for the winter so the solar is not help for the batteries and there is no power available. So the logical course is to remove the 4 batteries and bring them home and put them on a charger. The question is, how to charge them and on what charger? I have a charger for my motorcycle battery but that is probably not enough. Do I charge the batteries as TWO banks of 12V, 4 banks of 6V or one bank of 12V? I think the highest the motorcycle charger goes is 3A. Thanks! And happy Verteran's day tomorrow to all who served!!!!!!!!!
  4. We were hoping to get in one more trip before winter. With the cold front we have 2-3 days where it will reach freezing at night. Should I go ahead and winterize now? Thanks Greg
  5. I just placed the order for 50ft ultra white. If anyone would like half, the cost would only be $50 shipped. A few dollars less if I can fit it in a smaller flat rate package. I should have it in about 5-7 days.
  6. Did you just use alcohol to prep the surface or mineral spirits?
  7. Thanks Sherry. Is that the Ultra White?
  8. I was going to buy a 25ft roll of this on Amazon but with shipping it comes to almost $64. I can get a 50ft roll at camping world for not much more. I think their advertised price is $85 but it will be less with their club discount. I'll know the exact price later this evening. If anyone would like to split a roll (25ft should be enough) let me know.
  9. Looks like the new NuCamp Avia. https://nucamprv.com/avia/
  10. I thought about making my own also be from the inside. Putting a good bead of silicone adhesive around the inside perimeter where the vents are and shape a piece of SS screen mesh so it fits around the vents and press into the silicone bead.
  11. Understood. Being retired Navy and working for NAVFAC for 15 years I am always thinking about safety. When everything is connected by those two bolts on the coupler it seems a safer bet would have been 5/8 or 3/4 in bolts rather than 1/2 inch. I'm sure the 1/2 is fine...but.... :)
  12. Hi Raspy! Granted this was a while ago.... https://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/trailer-tongue-bolt-failure/ Greg
  13. Thanks Bob. I wouldn't think of using it without the orange cone piece. As you said, tire comes right off. And anything can be overcome with time and tools...and noise. I'm just looking for the best deterrent I can find since during camping season this will be parked in my driveway.
  14. Thanks Overland! That's what I was wondering...if the wheel needed to come of to swap out the covers. It's not really very bulky. The arms fold in so the lock can be stowed away flat.
  15. Hi Raspy. I only took the photo with the hub disc off to show how close the center cover is to the lock without it. Of course it has to be on to be effective. I just cannot install properly with the standard hub covers on the Ollie. I have to see if I can swap them out with something shorter.
  16. Hi all. Has anyone yet tried the Brahma wheel lock and had success on installing it? I ordered one and cannot get it on. Seems the center hub covers on the ollie stick out too much. With the Brahma cone off I can get it on....though still a bit of a pain due to the limited clearance between the wheel skirting and the tire. How do the center covers come off? Do I have to remove the tires? I want to see if shorter ones are available as replacements. Thanks
  17. Thanks David! Guess I will see how much a custom one will cost.
  18. John, A little OT, but how did you install the cross bar on the trailer side of the stone stomper? Thanks!
  19. Thanks. This is for a 2" hitch, not 1 1/4. Should make a little difference. But now their cross piece looks to be twice as wide and the receiver part is clamped vice welded.
  20. Good morning. Does anyone know the weight limits for this setup? Trying to figure if it is safe for a 1-UP bike rack with around 80lbs of bikes. Thanks Greg
  21. Good morning! What is the hitch made of? likelihood of rust issues? John, what did you use for your adapter plate to the hitch? Looks like you cut off the cup on a bulldog and used the rest for the adapter? Do they use grade 8 bolts to secure the hitch to the adapter? Thanks Greg
  22. I wish OTT used inserts for 5/8" vice 1/2" bolts. I was reading some older threads about 1/2" grade 8 bolts on the telescoping tongues shearing off. Scary stuff.
  23. Guess I asked too soon. :) Nice job! What did you use to accurately measure the 1.5 inches from the top inside the coupler? Did you just measure the thickness of the top and add that to the 1.5"?
