    @Patriot that's a beautiful truck.

I especially like the wheels. Stock?

Are you sure you want to add a coating to the truck?

Thank you SeaDawg, much appreciated...Tremor wheels only come with the Ford Tremor Pkg. The, larger tires and lift give an approximate 4” lift.

We have had XPEL.com paint protection on our cars and trucks for the last decade. It’s excellent paint protection. Should you need to remove it a steamer will take it off. I have never needed to remove it. It’s really all about the installer and final fit and finish install.

  2. Thank you all for the very kind compliments. We surely hope it serves us well. This morning I did remove the Andersen WDH and will offer it up in the classifieds for half of what we paid Oliver.
The Ollie sits a tad nose high, but the Tremor is empty of cargo and so is the Ollie, we’ll see how everything looks after we load up. I think everything will level out just fine payload wise.

Tomorrow morning we have scheduled the Ollie for XPEL 10 mil paint protection on the front corners and we will have the Tremor done as well. We are looking forward to seeing everyone who still has reservations at Lake Guntersville.

We’ve got 12 months of camping left before we winterize.  Will re-assess in 12 months, but will probably go for another 12 months!  I think I know quite a bit about my Oliver, but since we’ve never winterized I don’t have a clue how to do that.  Mike

    Good one Mike,

What ya just gotta love about Texas! We miss our days living there...oh Rudy’s BBcue! 😋 😄

  4. Your Ollie sales rep can provide you with the latest list of items you receive on delivery day.

If you TV is a Ford F-350 as indicated in your signature, you won’t need the Andersen WDH set up or the pin. As Bill mentioned other things can be picked up as needed at TS.
I think there is a list of items provided here on the forum somewhere. Our sales rep provided this up to date list as we got closer to delivery date.

  5. Anyone using Rock Tamers? If so can you provide feedback and thoughts? Please limit comments to only to the Rock Tamers as to stay on topic.
We are also having XPEL.com 10 mil paint protection professionally installed next week on the front tub and lower corners, dog house and lower street and curb side areas. This includes where the courtesy lights are on our Oliver.
Not sure how I like the looks of the Rock Tamers, but form over function maybe the flavor of the day if they help keep the road rash and rock dings nicks mitigated/reduced. I still always stop and do a tire tread check when departing a CG...use a flat head SD and remove gravel from our truck tires.

Thoughts and feedback on Rock Tamers?
    Thanks!

  6. We like the road less traveled. So from Floyd we took the Blue Ridge Parkway all the way to the Fancy Gap exit and then got on I-77. 72 degrees and a glorious ride in the cool breeze of the BRP. A fun 8 days adventure. We met some really neat and funny people.  So now we are looking forward to our next trip.

    Bill,

Great pics, Kathy and I may give Mt Pisgah a try soon. We need to roll on home in a few days, clean up, restock take care of a few things and get back out on the road. So glad y’all had a nice trip and visit.

  8. We landed a beautiful site and are still here at Chantilly after a week. Got in a great visit with family and explored around beautiful Floyd County. The temps were just perfect. The Ollie has performed seamlessly, can’t ask for more than that.

  9. Welcome neighbors!

Do the factory tour, you won’t be disappointed. We live in the foothills of Western NC and made two trips to Hohenwald, Tenn before placing our order for our 2020 OLEll. Looking back the two trips were so well worth it.
It’s a big financial decision for most, so read and read, research, and do your due diligence. Go back as far as possible in the forum archives, you will learn a lot. Check out Oliver University...just a wealth of info provided by Oliver.
We made a list of wants and needs. We also decided to consider resale when upgrading our options. Many options can be added later by Oliver, but it will come at a price vs factory custom order.
There are certain creature comforts that we just did not want to do without given the price point of the Oliver. Now and then used Oliver’s pop up in the classifieds on here...possibly worth considering, however they move quickly.

We took delivery June 16th and are very happy overall with our 2020 OLEll.
    Good luck on your decision!

I agree that on demand hot water is the new technology, but I think both options should be retained.  On demand hot water is not a priority for all RV owners.  The fact that the standard heater is easily serviced by both technicians and owners is an important feature, as is the choice of power sources - LP/electric.

We have used both types and I could go either way, but have chosen the standard heater for the reasons stated above.  If the Truma Comfort Plus (our current RV water heater) had been an option, it might have been a tougher decision.  On demand hot water is not a top priority for us.  The fact that the Truma Comfort (not Plus) does not circulate the hot water through the supply lines, a feature which adds the benefit of water conservation with the Comfort Plus model,  gives me little reason to pay 1,300 - 1,549 to upgrade.

I agree that someday on demand hot water may become the standard for RVs, but not until tech support becomes more readily available and price more affordable.  On demand makes more sense in a residential installation, and yet how many homes still have the tried and true tank water heaters?

This being said, I feel it would behoove Oliver to offer the Truma Comfort Plus, or similar make/model as an option.  This would extend the benefit of not having to run water until the hot reaches the tap.  With limited onboard fresh and grey water capacity, every little bit helps.  Perhaps someone with a Truma can take a measurement and see, on average, how much water this would be.

We had hot water in approx 8-9 seconds at the kitchen sink on our last trip. No complaints here. 😊 We just turn the Truma off even though it sips LP.
Agreed, in the end ya gotta go with what suits your camping style and needs. I do think the higher tech Truma system is an added value on eventual resale. And thinking forward, the truth is we all will sell at some point someday. Just another view point.

  11. I vote for the Truma and I would not be surprised if it becomes a standard at some point with all new Oliver’s. (Out with the dated and in with new technology). So far we have not had any issues ours and we have a Truma tech close by our home in the event we do. Long hot showers are a wonderful thing!
Just another point of view. 😊

We've always just poured the bleach into the other end of an attached hose prior to attaching to the spigot. Turn on the water and it just washes right into the tank.

For sanitizing, NOT drinking, we use 1/2 to 2/3 cup of bleach for the 30+ gallon fresh tank and all the associated pipes. Just run each faucet until you can smell the chlorine. We usually let it sit overnight and then drain and rinse. Don't forget the outside wash station.

    Perfect, thank you.

    Thanks for sharing your New Oliver experience.  I am jealous . . . . . . but our day will come . . . . . . 180 days and counting - that's less than 200 😁

I think I've asked before, so sorry if this is a repeat:  What color are your graphics?

    Metallic Silver.

Glad you had a great trip.  I can’t view photos right now, we’re alternating between a few bars of Edge and 1 bar of 3G in the AZ desert.  Mike

Thank you Mike! We look forward to your photos as well. Safe Adventures & Enjoy!
