π I donβt know where to start to correct my flipped shackles, the trailer is tucked in its storage spot and I wonβt be pulling it out until November. i can access both sides using the jacks or I can snag the combination jack/ jack stand at HFreight -
Which jack do you carry on your trips ?

edit to add my confession, I raised the Oliver off the slab in the shop using both rear leveling jacks and the front jack , while I had it up about 3-4β the tires on both sides sagged back down to touch the floorβ¦β¦.i was stumped, apparently that was the shackle flip πππ. Now I have one shackle on port and starboard flipped it dawned on me this afternoon reading about shackle flip this was a failed attempt to put the Oliver on car dollys so I could shoe horn her sideways into its storage spot in my workshop. I continue to impress myself with my accomplishments βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ Please β¦β¦.Explain to me how to determine if you flipped a shackle ? And how you used a curb to flip it back ???. does this happen on the 2022 models with the bigger axle and springs ? I think I have one side flipped after I used the leveling jacks to raise the trailerβ¦β¦. but I raised both sides π΅βπ«π΅βπ«π΅βπ« thank you -
Fantastic, that look like a good choice with good size, not too big or little Nice to know about the Amazon used/like new offerings. I never have looked at that option before. We still plan to make this addition to our camping life in the future ! Keep us posted on how you like it

π³ I didnβt carry a Jack specifically for the Oliver on our very first trip. I do have the big red Andersen drive on lift that I had intended to use for changing a flat. Have not ever used one before. The thing is beefy and heavy. now back home and decided itβs a good idea to have dedicated jack just in case it would be needed for the Oliver or the tow vehicle Do you carry an extra jack ? Which kind ? What size ? appreciate your feedback

We were looking earlier this spring at Iceco as we wanted more freezer space and we never made the leap after our first trip we realized the Norcold actually worked out pretty good on freezer space but we needed more room for produce as we had the nor old fridge jam packed Dometic does have a Fourth of July sale on certain models I did recently see some consumer complaints posted on FB about Iceco for a defective design that were not covered by Iceco. somehow the freezer and fridge operations are switched by the unit the fridge section freezes and and the freezer thaws out

do you have the 5.5β bed or 6β6β bed ? Would that make a difference? . The springs on my truck seem too soft . We initially set it on the mid setting but after 1700 miles I was unhappy with the ride, nose up , ass down . Too much sag, uncomfortable driving. Rather than attempt the adjustment in a campground , I ask the 81 year old camp host if there was a shop around anywhere nearby He mentioned a little one man shop in South Fork , Colorado βthe last garageβ very reasonable, nice garage, very nice lift ! for $75 Klaus and myself adjusted the RAS Cool guy, known for helping travelers without gouging them the rest of the trip the towing was great I can give it another try but Iβm frustrated enough to throw in the towel and take my $610 ass whipping the unhitched ride on the mid tension setting was really good even tho the rear end was up about 1 3/8 inch

I wanted to follow up on this thread as I did have a local truck accessory shop install the RAS on my 2018 F150 4x4 super cab with 6β6β bed $610 installed My setup had too much squat even before the truck bed or Oliver were loaded with camping gear. this aftermarket product does have a noticeable improvement on the truck ride when not towing and it does reduce the squat when the trailer is on the ball. But after 5000 miles towing I am not happy with the RAS system. After email conversations with RAS there is no solution. the maximum amount of squat it will reduce is 2 inches and in order to reduce the 2 inches of squat the RAS should be adjusted to the maximum setting . this setting raises the rear wheel well height 2 inches from stock height to reduce the squat 2 inches It works great while towing, handles great, truck is almost level, trailer is level. the problem is when not trailering on my daily driver vehicle , the RAS needs to be adjusted and that is a PITA riding 2 inch high in the rear end doesnβt work I am looking at other options I was traveling light in the truck bed and in the Oliver
