  1. Thank You my port side rear is flipped and starboard side front is also flipped
  2. πŸ˜” I don’t know where to start to correct my flipped shackles, the trailer is tucked in its storage spot and I won’t be pulling it out until November. i can access both sides using the jacks or I can snag the combination jack/ jack stand at HFreight
  3. edit to add my confession, I raised the Oliver off the slab in the shop using both rear leveling jacks and the front jack , while I had it up about 3-4” the tires on both sides sagged back down to touch the floor…….i was stumped, apparently that was the shackle flip πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„. Now I have one shackle on port and starboard flipped it dawned on me this afternoon reading about shackle flip this was a failed attempt to put the Oliver on car dollys so I could shoe horn her sideways into its storage spot in my workshop. I continue to impress myself with my accomplishments β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Please …….Explain to me how to determine if you flipped a shackle ? And how you used a curb to flip it back ???. does this happen on the 2022 models with the bigger axle and springs ? I think I have one side flipped after I used the leveling jacks to raise the trailer……. but I raised both sides πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« thank you
  4. Fantastic, that look like a good choice with good size, not too big or little Nice to know about the Amazon used/like new offerings. I never have looked at that option before. We still plan to make this addition to our camping life in the future ! Keep us posted on how you like it
  5. 😳 I didn’t carry a Jack specifically for the Oliver on our very first trip. I do have the big red Andersen drive on lift that I had intended to use for changing a flat. Have not ever used one before. The thing is beefy and heavy. now back home and decided it’s a good idea to have dedicated jack just in case it would be needed for the Oliver or the tow vehicle Do you carry an extra jack ? Which kind ? What size ? appreciate your feedback
  6. How did you deal with the squat on the F150 ? I towed ours home from the previous owner about 300 miles ( no Andersen) ……. my F150 was nose up and ass down it was miserable driving
  7. We were looking earlier this spring at Iceco as we wanted more freezer space and we never made the leap after our first trip we realized the Norcold actually worked out pretty good on freezer space but we needed more room for produce as we had the nor old fridge jam packed Dometic does have a Fourth of July sale on certain models I did recently see some consumer complaints posted on FB about Iceco for a defective design that were not covered by Iceco. somehow the freezer and fridge operations are switched by the unit the fridge section freezes and and the freezer thaws out
  8. I think I have a PHD on Andersen hitches by now 🀠 Pretty sure we have the Andersen weight distribution hitch dialed in, we did just replace the friction cone . Thanks for the info
  9. do you have the 5.5’ bed or 6’6” bed ? Would that make a difference? . The springs on my truck seem too soft . We initially set it on the mid setting but after 1700 miles I was unhappy with the ride, nose up , ass down . Too much sag, uncomfortable driving. Rather than attempt the adjustment in a campground , I ask the 81 year old camp host if there was a shop around anywhere nearby He mentioned a little one man shop in South Fork , Colorado β€œthe last garage” very reasonable, nice garage, very nice lift ! for $75 Klaus and myself adjusted the RAS Cool guy, known for helping travelers without gouging them the rest of the trip the towing was great I can give it another try but I’m frustrated enough to throw in the towel and take my $610 ass whipping the unhitched ride on the mid tension setting was really good even tho the rear end was up about 1 3/8 inch
  10. Thanks for that info the Timbren is on my list of possibilities are you happy with the Timbren setup ?
  11. I wanted to follow up on this thread as I did have a local truck accessory shop install the RAS on my 2018 F150 4x4 super cab with 6’6” bed $610 installed My setup had too much squat even before the truck bed or Oliver were loaded with camping gear. this aftermarket product does have a noticeable improvement on the truck ride when not towing and it does reduce the squat when the trailer is on the ball. But after 5000 miles towing I am not happy with the RAS system. After email conversations with RAS there is no solution. the maximum amount of squat it will reduce is 2 inches and in order to reduce the 2 inches of squat the RAS should be adjusted to the maximum setting . this setting raises the rear wheel well height 2 inches from stock height to reduce the squat 2 inches It works great while towing, handles great, truck is almost level, trailer is level. the problem is when not trailering on my daily driver vehicle , the RAS needs to be adjusted and that is a PITA riding 2 inch high in the rear end doesn’t work I am looking at other options I was traveling light in the truck bed and in the Oliver
  12. Would you mind explaining the Andersen truck fridge wiring plan ? I would like to wrap my head around how that will function Thanks
  13. Hey @snackchaser i got my extra 1 lb tank stem and the assortment of fittings……..I robbed the fitting off of the extra 1 lb tank stem my issue is I ordered a 5lb tank from Costco and it has the gauge on the tank Only thing I am Missing is a 5’ hose and. I don’t know which one to get because the new tank has the gauge already on it the Everest says it is designed for 17 lb Almost cooking 🫣
  14. Thanks for posting this information ! we appreciate it very much
  15. Hey Snack Chaser thanks for all the links ! would you mind checking 5he link on the 90 degree quick connect to confirm that it is the correct fitting ? thanks again
  16. Ha ! we were getting kinda twitchy and …… we ordered the Camp Chef Everest 2X last night ! thanks for the links
  17. Most of the manufacturers say the stove is not compatible with low pressure so I was attempting to find one that is maybe the manufacturer are trying to limit returns or limit liability exposures I emailed an inquiry to the USA made Partner Stoves that have a ridiculous price tag and they responded ( not compatible with a low pressure Setup ) I am a propane dummy
  18. thank you Those are really popular, But our cooking style is better suited by a portable 2 burner table top or even a single burner table top for using pots and pans .
  19. Making one more stab at this as we still don’t have a propane cooker I think I have searched the entire WWW. A two burner portable low pressure propane camp stove ? not easy to find . most are made to use on high pressure propane and we are determined to find a suitable one to use on the Oliver quick connects. my bride cooks 99% of our meals in an 11” wok Make my day !
  20. Thank You edit Fantastic , we have the Xantrex 3000 inverter and the lithium pro 3x130 ah , not sure if we can heat water on the inverter but we kinda always thought using the electric heating element if we had shore power and propane if we didn’t have shore power had no idea that I was so smart that I had turned on the water heater using both gas and shore power and didn’t even know it ! appreciate the help !
  21. I’m still learning but every time I turn on the outside water heater switch an$ then go inside and turn on the inside switch it always starts on propane how does one go about getting the water heater running on shore power ? πŸ˜• I’m dumb
  22. It’s our first trip in our Oliver and a couple months behind schedule because my bride delayed her retirement a few extra months ………I have been chomping at the bit to go to the southwest and have been gleaning information from old threads on the forum I went to the rally last year as a non owner visitor to tour the open house Olivers and see the real thing . very welcoming group at Guntersville and very knowledgeable , I hate to miss it this year Steve Morris and others without hesitation gave me an Oliver tutorial that cinched it for me and then I started looking at the used market real hard and found a 2022 that the owners were negotiable Ready to get on the road after planning this for over 3 years
  23. New Mexico camping New Mexico Free Camping I know this thread is rather old , But I wanted to share this I am planning a trip to New Mexico and I stumbled across this YouTuber that has quite a bit of New Mexico content the videos are not that spectacular but the information is detailed see you out there edit ( added New Mexico Free Camping )
  24. I might have put my foot in my mouth while chastising them on prices as a little more in depth research shows that on dual zone units their price is not that extreme a search does show a dealer network Dealer network As suggested above, a great idea to consider dual zone capability we are eyeballing the dual zone offerings appreciate all the suggestions !
