I searched the forum but couldn't find anything on this topic. Late model Ford trucks have a reverse aid that actually works well. It requires a sticker to be placed on the trailer to train the truck's computer (which trains much easier than me!). The requirement for learning is that sticker placement must be horizontal and from 7 to 20" behind the center of the ball (see pic below). In looking at the best pic I can see of the tow hitch area, not sure if it is possible with the front basket mounted. The camera, mounted at the top of the tailgate might be able to see inside the front basket...but unsure? Has anyone tried this?

Great information! Thanks for your time in posting it.

Carl - We had several objectives. See the actual color options. Computer displays are not always very accurate. They had a great set up in the new sales office/show room to mix and match all the color and fabric options. Spend a bit of time actually sitting in the trailer. I am not a small person, and just wanted to see how it felt after some time. It was very comfortable, even for me. Better understand some of the options and in talking with our sales person, additional questions came to mind that are in the process of being researched, I respected that our sales person would tell us when he wasn't sure about something, but would look into it and let me know. I don't like sales folks who blow smoke. There was no smoke here! See the build quality that you can't see on the outside...like how are wiring harnesses affixed to the inner hulls so they don't come off and rattle, etc. While I've watched just about every YouTube vid out there, I was able to see lots of little details and was very impressed. (and no, I have not partaken of the Oliver Kool-Aid). See the actual production process. Being an industrial engineer, I took in a lot of observations on actual production workers work methods and their attention to detail. Out of everything I saw, I was most impressed with this aspect of Oliver. I watched a worker in the final area working on a small imperfection - he had not seen us, and the level of effort to address this little flaw was very impressive. There were multiple examples of this in addition to a really good "feel" on the floor. Can't really describe this, but after dozens of years in manufacturing, you get a sense of the feel of a place. (While I was getting close to taking a sip of the Kool-Aid, I had not yet ingested any at this point). Taste the Kool-Aid - after the tour, I think I drank some of their Kool-Aid! For us, it was much better to see it in person. It is a huge investment for us, and we wanted to see things up close and personal. I agree completely with topgun2 that a factory tour is very beneficial if you are close.

We had a great factory tour. While I was fully committed to bringing up some boudain, as well as some doughnuts as was John E Davies' suggestion to assist in obtaining wiring diagrams, I failed on all counts! I forgot the boudain at home and upon leaving Linden, TN after a night's rest, the only doughnut shop Mr. Googles would suggest was an hour away. I dared not come into the plant with doughnuts from Walmart. And, of course, my super secret stealth spy camera's battery died. So, sorry folks, no wiring diagrams π Regardless, it was a great trip, great time, super meeting some of the folks that make up the Oliver team. The clock ticks soooo slowly for our October delivery.

As of today, still a 1 year waiting list π² and if you want to order one, you need to do it by phone as their website doesn't work for orders. I didn't ask what the current price was as I didn't want to wait the year.

Congrats Johnwen! We are a couple of month's ahead of you...but years behind you in terms of experience (our first RV)! We look forward to your insights!

Greetings! We will be traveling to Hohenwald in a week or so and wanted to offer our services to anyone who might need something while we are there...specific information, measurement, picture of something, etc. We are looking forward to the factory tour and understanding options prior to our October delivery. Just let us know if you need anything!

Was 12 degrees this morning down in the southeast corner of Texas. And yes, we have a real "lizzard" problem right now! I found a good deal on some "lizzard" shovels here on Amazon if anyone is interested. Time2Go - hoping you have great weather and a great trip next week for your pickup! Jim and Frances

Congrats Fred! We are just a couple of months ahead of you - having opted for the "old" (2020) vs. "new" (2021) option. We too are shifting from spinning sea to land yarns and look forward to sharing with you in the future! (Assuming we ever thaw out LOL!) Jim and Frances

Who da thunk it ?!?! I am sorry to hear you all are having to delay - but, as Bill said, wise call! I doubt the stress of driving in those conditions is not what you need for pick up. Here's hoping the week flashes by quickly for you and next week's weather is great! Jim

Thanks so much! We were able to meet up with some other owners who were nice enough to give us a tour. They were just returning from a couple of weeks in Big Bend (we were just a little green with envy π). Such a great group of folks! As you could guess, we were totally impressed. I fit (a bit of a prerequisite!). We are now on the production schedule - October 26 delivery! Yippee!!! So much to learn, so little time LOL! Jim and Frances

Ray and Susan Huff - Thanks for the measurements! Mike and Carol - Thanks for the info. I spoke with Josh today at OTT and he is looking in the area for us. Woohoo!

Hi! Jim and Frances here from Beaumont, TX. We are new to RVing having never owned a TT. We are still working but getting close to retirement and interested in RVing as a way to share seeing our beautiful country. We are very impressed with both Oliver Trailers and you - the owners. Just looking through the forums lets us know what a great group of people you all are. We are looking to see if we can soon change our topic description to "New Owners" π We are trying to arrange an owner showing just so we can change a couple of dimensions, awaiting OTT Sales to let us know. I am a large guy and I need how well I "fit". My lovely wife does not have this quandary π. Since we have missed to 2021 production, I was wondering if someone could provide two dimensions for us on the LE II. The first is the opening of the bathroom door and the second is the distance from the back of the dinette cushion and the dinette table. I've attempted to download drawings available online and scale them, but am not confident of my scaling. With these two numbers, we should know if we can go ahead and put down a deposit to get a production space before 2022 is gone! Thanks for any help here and thanks for all your work in this forum - it is excellent for wannabes like us!

Glad to here no problems. I guess that's what happens when I google too much! I recall the saying, "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see", maybe an addendum is needed, "and only 0.2% of what comes up in Google searches". Thanks again for all ya'lls hard work. Jim Dash equipment and F150 TPMS Intermittent Errors

Super description - thanks! Will be attempting this next week. Quick question...have you noticed any problems with your Ford TPMS? I have heard reports of the added USB/12V plugs in this area causing problems with Ford's TPMS. I am guessing use of a ferrite choke on the power line would help mitigate this potential issue as well? Thanks again for doing almost all the work for me π
