I have been in correspondence with the truma folks and they will have a tech available during our rally in october. They said he will be on site and most likely will be Todd who was our Tech at last October's rally. I've asked them how they want anybody that does need service or want service while they're at the rally request it. I will let folks know when I hear back. Paula Ratliff has contact Chamber of Commerce in Mineral Wells and they are mailing her information as to what activities are going in in the area.

25 sites have been booked at Lake Mineral Wells State Park. The next opportunity to book a site will begin May 20th
-
Steven Hendricks, please let me know your Hull number. Thanks
-
You're the folks from Nova Scotia right? That's great that you're coming. Have you been to an Oliver rally before?
-
Well there are more sites, but TPWD wouldn't let me reserve more. Those that want to attend, after the initial 27 sites are booked have to wait until May 20 to book.
-
21 campsites have been booked. This is a fantastic start. I received an email from Jason Essary letting me know he enjoyed visiting everyone at our Rally at Inks Lake and would like to help with the Rally for next year. I heard from Girard Systems, and they are considering attending our rally as well. If they do, they can give a session on how to manually adjust the angle of the awning and answer any questions. Paula Ratliff offered to help me with organizing and is checking on things to do or happening in the area during our Rally. I am missing a Hull # for the folks that reserved Campsite 19. Please let me know so I can put it on our Attendee's List.
-
Sorry to hear you are going to miss it John. Wishing safe travels to you and Chris

I sent PJ an email and also messaged CGI. I sent a text to Todd the Truma Tech, and have made contact with Girard Systems.
-
I posted some suggestions, Truma Tech and Girard tech should be contacted. You think we should call anyone else?
-
I have been in contact with United RV located in Fort worth. They said they would love to participate I mentioned the barbecue at this time they're interested in providing that. I sent an email to Rodney and Jason Essary to let them know as well. I did check there is the hall for $180 I also did let United RV know about that. maybe they provide the hall and we all chip into the barbecue. At this point in the planning I'm not too concerned as to who's doing what just that something is happening. Paula Ratliff has offered to help as well and she is going to check in to things going on in the area at that time. I think we need to contact Truma Tech. Todd and maybe someone from Girard. Anyone else toy think we should ask to come?

I have set the 2025 Rally for October 20-23. I am out of town for most of November and would not be able to come myself, the following week would be Halloween so it wasn't a good time either. I sure hope you can adjust your schedule so you can make it.

FIRST STEP COMPLETED: Lake Mineral Wells had the most votes. the next two were not close Inks Lake and Riverwalk RV resort. Okay, the Texas Oliver Rally 2025 is set at Lake Mineral Wells State Park Oct 21, 2025 - Oct 23, 2025 https://tpwd.texas.gov/.../park_maps/pwd_mp_p4503_103f.pdf I have reserved the Live Oak Camping Area Loop Event #2406578136 call 512-389-8920 (Group reservations) I have set it so if you want to arrive before Oct 20, that you can. To hold the sites act NOW, call the Parks Department either next week (Monday Nov, 25, Tues, Nov 26, Wed Nov27 (only open for 1/2 day)) or the following weeks first two days (Dec 2, or Dec 3) otherwise you can't book sites until May 20, 2025 One other thing: there is a Dining Hall available that holds 85 folks, but it is $180.00 a day and it has to be paid up front. So, I didn't reserve it yet, but if everyone chips in, then it won't be so bad. JWalmsley - do you want to put this out for folks, like you did the last Texas Rally? This Rally is for Oliver Owners only

please review the proposed locations for next year's Texas Rally. Some are smaller than what we will probably need but please review park maps. 1 Riverwalk RV Resort in Bandera https://www.riverwalkresorttexas.com https://www.riverwalkresorttexas.com/map Currently most of the sites are available for next Oct. 2 Inks Lake State Park, Burnet https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/inks-lake https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/park_maps/pwd_mp_p4507_015k.pdf 200 campsites (two are ADA-accessible). Many sites are lakeside or have easy access to the lake. Several camping loops 3. Lake Sommerville Rocky Creek (COE) near Brenham (maybe spread out) https://www.somervillelake.com/camping-rv-parks--rocky-creek-park/3153 Rocky Creek Campground has 192 campsites with 30-amp electrical hookups, 127-amp hookups, and 35 tent sites with 30-amp hookups. Picnic tables and fire rings are available, as are flush toilets and showers. 4. Lake Sommerville Yegua Creek COE near Brenham https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232752 Yegua Creek Campground has 82 sites, 65 of which have 50-amp electrical and water hookups. Flush toilets and showers are provided, as are picnic tables and fire rings. Two boat ramps, an interpretive trail, and dump station are located on-site. 5. South Llano River State Park, Junction (may be too small) https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/south-llano-river https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/park_maps/pwd_mp_p4507_116b.pdf 57 campsite, Most campsites have water and electric hookups, and a restroom with showers nearby. 6. Midway COE near Waco (maybe too small) https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232641 Midway Park campground has 37 campsites. There are 32 sites with water and electric hookups, and 11 that also have sewer hookups. The campground has 5 tents sites. Other perks include hot showers, an accessible playground and a boat ramp. 7. Airport Park COE near Waco https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232511 (may be too small) Airport Park has 46 sites with 50-amp electric and water hookups, and 22 of these also have sewer hookups. There are 8 screen shelters with electrical outlets and water. Fourteen tent-only campsites without electric are also available 8. Lake Brownwood State Park (would be spread out in 3 different locations) https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-brownwood https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/park_maps/pwd_mp_p4506_009f.pdf Choose from water-only tent sites and sites with water and electricity. We also have 20 full hookup sites 9 Lake Mineral Wells State Park (near United RV – another Oliver approved dealer) https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-mineral-wells https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/park_maps/pwd_mp_p4503_103f.pdf 70 campsites with electric

another location suggested is Lake Mineral Wells State Park. It is about an hour from another approved Oliver Dealer, United RV

Scott and I are not available in early November because of our scheduled Elk hint in Montana.

trying to set up another Texas Rally. So far, there is a Riverwalk RV Resort in Bandera, Inks Lake State Park, Lake Sommerville Rocky Creek (COE), Lake Sommerville Yegua Creek COE, South Llano River State Park (near Kerrville)., Midway COE near Waco and Airport Park COE near Waco, Lake Brownwood State Park. Any other recommendations? I will put a poll out soon but it will be on Facebook. I will keep those that are not on FB informed as this event progresses. Trying for Oct 20-23, 2025.

Steve and MA took pics of all the Oliver sites, I think he said 43 Oliver trailers in attendance, one owner also came but stayed in a tent because their trailer was already winterized, and two Couples that where camping in their own trailer that were traveling with Oliver. Now I had 47 trailers ( includes the Coleman's tat used their tent) on my list that had sites, and they were all in attendance except for three, one had sold his Oliver, one stayed at home because of family medical issues and the other has small kids and just didn't make it. 70 folks enjoyed BBQ. There were about 96 folks that were at the rally.
-
We appreciate all that attended the Texas Rally. Your attendance made this event a success. It really was the most relaxing and engaging camping we have done. We enjoyed meeting everyone, though I have to admit we might not remember your name, hull#, or where you are from, you can be sure I will look at the all pictures posted, and say "this is my Oliver Family" with pride.

Congratulations to the winners of the fire pit and Weber travel grill! Thanks goes to Jason Essary and Oliver Travel Trailers for providing these prizes.

Well its a wrap for the 2024 Texas Oliver Rally . I have been asked by several if this will happen next year. I am willing to do this again so here is some things I would like to know. Is there another location you would prefer that will accommodate the volume of trailers that would like shore power, nice facilities, things to do in the area? Time frame would still be around the same as this year. Or would ya'll rather make this a two year away rally? Need some feedback on this. Thanks to everyone this Rally is a success.

There's a barbecue set for tomorrow at 5:30 at the Pavilion there in the park. Also Jason with Oliver trailers will be in the park all day tomorrow for anybody that has questions or or need some assistance. And on Wednesday morning at 11:30 a truma rep will be at site 44 for a clinic he's also I can answer any questions on all the truma products. Tonight site 68 is has prepared chili until they run out for participants and they said if you wanted to make it a potluck and bring something to share with everybody that would be great. They posted it earlier on this Forum, I believe they said 5:30
