  1. Hi Charleen and Doody, Welcome! You might like to call Billy Gibson at: (931) 209-0445. I think the twin bed model is for sale. I also think there are pictures posted, but I don't remember if they are on photo bucket or the Oliver website. However, I am sure Mountainborn will know!
  2. Hi all, If anyone has not discovered it yet, the Hewus'website is not to be missed! it is so informative and creative, and shows step by step the great mods that she has done (or has had done by someone very talented).
  3. Hi Amer, welcome, By all means if you can, check out the Pomona show. One thing about the side dinette is that the back cushions can be arranged so that you can face two ways, essentially turning as in a chair. The cushions are very thick and comfortable. Plus a lot can be said for the clean-up factor. Further, seeing one "in the flesh", may alter her perception about a wood-grained interior. I have learned that the sliding cupboard doors can be in different colors as well as mirrored and the color of the table tops can be changed. In short it is very impressive, and the Oliver family is open to new ideas.
  4. Welcome gerrrym51, There are quite a number of very knowledgeable people that participate in this forum. The Oliver people also are very informative. I would suggest that you check the manufacturer's specs first and foremost, and go from there.
  5. Hi, Have you tried the "rug gripper" method for your cushions?
  6. I think it should be perfect. I chatted with a person from Oregon who was going to do exactly that!! He was even going to get other than a fgrv (fiberglass rv), which is larger and heavier than an Oliver. I have 2005 Sienna with the tow package and Jim Oliver indicated that I did not even need to change my class II hitch as I have the capacity: 350/3500 (hitch /towing weights in pounds) and would not need either a wdh (weight distribution hitch) or a sway bar. I also know of another older model Highlander owner that has pulled a fgrv with no problems. However, I admit to a lack of personal experience at the moment!
  7. Hi, I like your pictures. I have a Targus for my laptop. (Model TLE 400). It is like a briefcase and even holds the laptop in its sleeve. It also has 3 other zippered compartments. I got it specifically because I need all the stuff such as a wireless mouse as well as charging cord and helps me keep things together. I especially need help in the "keeping together" department.
  8. I must have missed wweezzyy! I too saw my first ones in the flesh! (See comments on "New baby on the way". I can say we were not the only ones who were very impressed! Lisa, I hope others check out all of your pictures. They were most helpful too.
  9. Thank you both for the condolences. Today was a definitely brighter one. I had the honor and pleasure to meet in person the warm and hospitable Billy Gibson and Jim Oliver along with his gracious and charming wife Yvonne and her brother. It was so exciting to finally see one in the "flesh"! It was everything I'd imagined and more. I wish I could have spent the whole day there. I'm sure I talked their legs off. But they all were kind and patient as well as helpful with all my questions. Jim even drove me out to the parking lot to assess my car for towing issues. Both the twin and the front bed/dinette models were/are there. It was amazing to see the attention the Legacy x 2 received. While the traditional types had spotty attendance, while I was there, many people were gathered around and waiting patiently for their turn to go inside. I heard many favorable comments about the quality (which is apparent). I was also made aware of such easily customizable features such as cupboard door color and table top color. The cupboard doors can also be mirrored. It is apparent that a lot of thought has gone into the construction and the functional attributes. Ciao for now,
  10. Thank you Geri and Pete, Geri I love your website! I hope others check it out. Pete, your information is greatly appreciated. I just finished chatting with Billy Gibson and Jim Oliver. They are at Cal Expo (California State Fairgrounds) in Sacramento. They will be there thru Sunday and I'm going to get over there hopefully by Saturday. I was planning on going sooner, but a dear friend passed on suddenly, and the services are being held in San Francisco tomorrow and Friday. I am very interested in the solar and cellular modifications as well as outlets. I also checked out Lisa's pictures and need to learn more about LED lighting. Your pictures I'm sure are anxiously awaited by many. I'm sure that you are busy relishing your Wonder Egg. Enjoy!
  11. Congratulations! Are you going to compile a list of all your modifications for those of us that have not taken the leap? May I ask where and why you had extra outlets placed? As I plan to use an electric blanket to save on propane, I wonder if one currently is conveniently placed. Since an Oliver is coming to Sacramento this week-end, I will look and find out. Happy Spring!
  12. The happy face is great!! For those in the Sacramento, California area, the Legacy will be at Cal Expo next week end. I am planning on seeing it. I really appreciate learning about the great ideas that are posted here. Thanks guys and gals.
  13. Where in Sacramento? And from when to when? Friday thru Sunday?
  14. The rubber rug stuff is a good idea. I have successfully used it under cushions on my slip-covered furniture. Also, if the cushions were not going to be turned on a regular basis, the velcro attached to the cushion could be "tacked" on. That is, sewing a single stitch periodically along the velcro, every 2"-3", just to keep it in place. Subsequently, it would be easily removed and put on the other side.
  15. sacsun, As another solo traveler, I've been wondering about that very thing the last few days. I've decided to go with the "Swift Hitch" ( http://trailertoys.com/swhibasaca.html ) and figure I could use it to assist me both day & night with TV/RV hookup and tight spot RV backing. They are a bit proud of their product and it's pricey but being new to the RV world I figure I can use all the help I can get! While "technically" I'm not solo, and I could position Oscar out back a bit with some instructions, it still wouldn't help 'cause he doesn't bark unless he's fussing at a raccoon. Thanks for the info. Do you think that the "Swift Hitch " will work at the back of "Oscar"? I will be interested in your findings. My "Wolf" is not much of a spotter either.
  16. Congratulations on the new one! When I talked to Robert some time ago, I was told there was going to be an optional back-up camera. Is that a feature that you are contemplating? As a solo (and still looking), I've found it very handy on my Sienna. I wonder if anyone has asked about sonar as well. It could save some crinks.
  17. Thanks for the info. Do you know if a place like Camping World handles manufacturers warranties?
  18. Hi all, Does anyone have info on how the warranty work (if any needed) would be arranged for a long distance owner?
  19. Welcome to the Oliver Forums sacsun !! Thanks for the welcome! I just discovered the new format. I was wondering why I couldn't find the way to log in as I had originally! It is also nice to see others who have joined as well. In the old format, I think I was one of two! While I have yet to purchase a fgrv, I'm very interested in the Legend. I spoke with Jim last summer and learned a lot and was very impressed. He also was very enjoyable to speak with. Hopefully, I can arrange to see a Legend in the "flesh" in the not too distant future.
