Though it's not been terribly hot yet, at what temperature does the refrigerator fan sensor need to be at for the fan to turn on? Yes, the switch is in the on position. Today will be the hotest we had the Ollie in, so we'll see.

That might have been it or I did not have Blackstone connector tight enough to push in internal hose pin, or I'm a moron and did not wait long enough. "We're cooking with Grape seed oil now". I suppose Crisco sounds better but, yuck.

I have two grills. I'm trying to get one of them to work with the rear outside propane connector in the Elite II. Have a brand new Blackstone and an old Coleman stove and I have the extender gas hose/line; it's about 10 ft long. I cannot seem to get gas to go through the line. The furnace and hot water heater both produce heat off the gas. I don't see any shut-off valves anywhere. What could I be doing wrong? I see nothing in the Oliver guide in regards to the external gas connectors, front or back. Thanks.

Electrical panel not labeled correctly?

Looks like I’ll be curling up under the table to get a better pic next time. Sometimes it pays to be little! 😂 Erika -

Seal the rear Oliver Light (re-caulk?)
Wayfinder replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
I thought it was a head-light light, not a break-light light. Mine only lights up when my truck head lights are ON, not auto, for example in my case. Would be nice to have it turn on with the outside courtesy lights too. -
Water pump wire came undone after 5 years
Wayfinder replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Thanks. We'll take a look at them. -
After 5 years of use the uncrimped wire, which supplies power to the water pump, finally came loose from the connector. After close inspection I discovered the connector was never actually crimped onto the wire. Only the plastic housing around the connector was crimped to the wire. I also added a tie wrap to the wire protector so it does not pull down on the connector again. Easy fix.

We are looking to see what people have done to protect the front of the Ollie's from road chips. Our 2016 has quite a few pits, chips and divots.

What a "crappy" weekend coming up.

Everything went great in regards to replacing the black tank waste valve. Only took 30 minutes to do. My first one ever. The fourth screw and nut was tricky to get to, but we got it. I had marked the metal cable with a marker before loosening the Allen nut so I knew what position it was in and how much extra I could provide if needed. The old waste valve was really catching on itself quite often there were quite a few burs on the valve "door" or "blade" itself. Factory defect. We have a blue shop towel under the pipe to watch for leaks. None yet in 7 hours with black tank at 50%. AND most importantly, our waste hose is remaining empty. Yay. NOTE: Two of the four bolts are longer than the other two. Those go through the top screw holes to account for the added plastic shroud that secures and covers the valve itself. And don't over tighten because it's just plastic. We put Vaseline on the valve seals so, one, they would stick to the the housing for easy placement, and give them slightly longer life. The old seals looked great along with the valve shroud itself, but again the blade itself was full of burs on edges. We just chucked everything. I did loosen the rubber coupler (the stainless steel clamps) so it would have more give and play to get the valve out between the two 3 inch pipes. That worked great. BUT, DON'T FORGET TO TIGHTEN THOSE BACK UP WHEN IT'S ALL DONE. -
Weep holes on top AND bottom for these window frames. They don't use these any longer.

Well, we're at a camp site and making due with what we have. Naturally this week is full of rain. Here's my temp fix for now. Moved a weep hole plug to the other side, after cleaning it. Rolled it into place with a round rubber mallet I had on hand. Used white duck tape after cleaning metal with alcohol and let dry. We're ordering white gutter material now. We'll have a lot of extra if someone wants it. We'll ship to you.... For good wine or bourbon. 😁
-
Thanks, gentlemen. We'll give the service department a call & see about getting the weep hole plugs for our windows.
-
We're missing a single weep hole cover or plug above both rear left and right windows in LE II (2016). With heavy rains we naturally get some pooled water. I had already cleaned all the windows lower weep holes and runoff trays. Clean as a whistle now. What is best to use for missing weep hole plugs, or, where can I find such a thing? What are alternatives? I see some old threads about window gutters. Not sure what we can do to improve in heavy rains.

Seal the rear Oliver Light (re-caulk?)

Thanks @csevel. I know Erika will want to change the logo too. How easy did the sign go onto glass? I assume it's vinyl?! -
Well, it shouldn't be too bad, but guess what I'm doing this weekend at a full-hookup camp ground? Since our black tank valve is leaking like a sieve, and we had to pay for shipping, we decided to to order both 3 inch valves and the 1.5 inch grey valve for the LE II. Does this all look good? Also, kudo's to eTrailer. Man, when you pay for two-day shipping, they might get parts to you in hours. Ordered online a 5pm Easter, and arrived by 10am. Wow.

Help - Waste hose is full of liquid
Wayfinder replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
@rideandfly do you remember where you got your black tank valve from? I guess I should call Oliver service to verify part. Will be my first time calling them direct. Not sure what size that is yet. Will investigate more soon. I'm wondering if this is the part? https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Waste-Valves/Valterra/T1003PBC.html And, I wonder what size the grey valve is. Will check Oliver docs too. Might as well change both to ensure we're all good. Thanks, Chris -

Great job. Looks better than mine, but apparently my sign will remain on the Ollie during a category 5 hurricane. 😁 -

Help - Waste hose is full of liquid

The next issue I'll search for is why our fresh water tank fills up on city hookups. Water pump is off. It will be the next thread if I cannot find old thread on subject. -
Help - Waste hose is full of liquid
Wayfinder replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Thanks Bill and everyone. It turned out as well as expected. Even though everyone in the state park were doing a mass exodus after the holiday, we got in line at the dump station to perform our very first dump, ever, with a full hose. Thankfully the hose was of high quality. No mishaps. We exercised the valves and flushed the best we could with folks behind us. We leave tomorrow and there will be no crowds and can take our time to flush again. Came back and cleaned the port side windows' weep holes and troughs. What will now flow out in the rains. Don't go cheap on the poopy hose. -
Well, we will not be able to post that it was a completely successful maiden voyage. It seems that our waste hose is full of liquid in the back bumper on our EL II. The good news is the ends of hose are sealed. The relief valves are sealed closed but there must be a leak. We see no liquid in between the hulls. We think it's only grey water. Who has experience with this?
