  1. Wife & I have been RV’g since 1994 with our first RV, a 1991 33’ gas, holiday rambler imperial. 2 diesel buses, 1994 38’ Holiday rambler Navigator and then a 2001 Bluebird LX 40’…..then we decided on an OLIVER for our downsize RV (We absolutely love our Oliver!)…….however, time marches on and things change and things happen and health issues arise as we age! For health reasons, my wife can no longer drive with her MD and recently I have experienced panic & anxiety attacks which I’m being treated for. The road is no longer our friend so we must make changes. This is a an interest post for now as we will be going through the camper over the next 60 days to ready it for sale. We are located in Polk county, Florida. The camper is like new, pulled less than 4000 miles and camped in 7 times. We added lots of extras including, bed toppers, and a champion generator (used one time)……all extras included in price! .We have not put a final price on it but ball parking it at $77,500. If you have a serious interest, feel free to call or text me at 863-409-5621 for any additional details!
  2. Bill, We gonna be in lot E-17 from 5/15-5/22/2023 at Lk Guntersville RV park for the Rally.........I'll have my Guitar with me for some old classic country & gospel...come on by! This being my first Oliver Rally I'll probably follow the music crowd as I'm not sure what to expect at this point. Vic
  3. Thanks John, we got that issue solved, as the problem wasn't with the Xantrax but it was with the on board voltage surge protector not recognizing the generator to let it supply power to the camper! It had a bypass switch, we found out from a fellow camper, so we were able to get power. We also found out when running the generator you should install a neutral ground plug in the 110 on the generator. This has been done! I am now trying to get the right set up to run LP to the generator from the LP quick connects installed on the camper. Its a regulator issue I'm now working with Champion on. We didn't get to pick at the bluegrass festival because of trying to solve the generator and boon docking issues......but all is good, got another festival in Brooksville, fl on 2/22/23/24/25/2023.....sure enjoyed picking with you guys, good luck on all your updates to our camper. We gonna be at the Oliver Rally this year in Lake Guntersville, Al in May! PS: Sorry for the late comeback as when I got he problem solved, I failed to come back to the Forum......I was frustrated and of course i'm getting Older and I forget things! lol
  4. Yes, thank you problem solved with a neutral ground plug
  5. I have come across an issue with my LP propane system that I believe can easily be remedied by replacing the regulator (which appears pretty straight forward), My unit 1139 is still under warranty but i'm in Florida and can't make it to the factory. i have an Oliver ticket on the issue and was told by service to take it to a service center. I've called two so far. One does not have a full-time LP gas tech and the other I'm waiting on a call followup. I'm looking at changing out the regulator (only if needed) (Its a $40 part plus my labor......Wife & I are readying the camper for a trip too and its frustrating to hook it up to take to a service center, who would need to check the system and order the part, which could take two days or more! My issue: I purchased a Champion 3500 electric start dual fuel generator (Awesome generator) Until I could get hoses & connections for the Quick connect gas fittings, on the camper, to run a line to the generator, I removed one of the propane tanks and connected directly to the LP tank with the supplied hose that came with the generator. The generator ran great. I did find out, that to get steady power to the Camper (the onboard surge protector was not recognizing the generator and would not let power go to the camper) I needed a Neural ground plug to go into the generator's 110 outlet. This has been addressed. After fitting my hose with the proper fittings, I connected it to the LP Quick connect, supplied during manufacturing of the camper on the street side right under the LP tank holding compartment. I turned on the gas and noticed I smelled a slight odor of gas and could hear an air sound coming from the round piece that's part of the regulator, under the switch valve handle (we now believe this is normal sound of the regulator adjusting the pressure). I put soapy water on the connections of the hoses to check for leaks but nothing! All appeared tight with no leaks. However, I was not getting propane to the generator through the Quick connect on the camper?! I then noticed the regulator indicator was showing green on the switch on the valve when the gas was turned off, indicating there appeared to be an issue with the regulator!?......but now don't believe that's the case! I have ordered the part just for backup at this time! (I can always have it installed or checked by a LP gas Tech, when I can find one lol)....Part should arrive on Sunday 2/12/23. I'm throwing this out here in the Forum to see if anyone else has had this issue and has any advice for me or experienced anything that would be of help. UPDATE: Having second thoughts that it might be the regulator, other than the camper regulator may not supply the right pressure to fuel the generator?! Found out my neighbor has dealt with these issues before, so we are thinking the regulator is working properly, just having to figure out if you can run a generator from the QC supplied by Oliver from the camper!? Thanks, Vic Shumate
  6. I’m hull 1139, Vic Shumate, purchased generator 2 days to help with running appliances etc,.,,,generator works great but Oliver says I need to change AC input settings from 25 to 15 on the Xantrex inverter remote panel while using generator as power source…..,,how do I change this setting on the xantrex?! I’m suppose to change it back when plugged into AC 30 for power! So I need to know how to set it!? Can’t seem to get batteries back to 12.5 -14 volts?! I turned the xantrex off! Will that help or hurt while running generator? I’m at a bluegrass festival in Okeechobee Florida through Sunday morning…….. my batteries dropped to 9.6 volts in 2 days while boon docking with roof solar panel, wanted to use generator to bring batteries back up but I’m not doing something right! Help! Got batteries back to 11.6 V today but do t know if it was solar panel or generator doing it!? Refrigerator says code C and Ice melting…not good! thanks
  7. Hello fellow Ollie owners, My wife is wanting to put organizer inserts into the kitchen drawer ('s) ....We found one that almost worked on Amazon by Delamu Bamboo utensil organizer. It is expandable for the sides but the deep (depth) is approx 1/8" too long It expands great to the side but the depth just won't quiet fit! It is 16.92" in depth and it needs to be 16.65-70" (It is about 3/32" too long) just over an eighth of an inch!. The closest I have found so far is 16.9"......and it takes a 16.7" which I haven't been able to locate!!!! Has anyone solved this problem with a particular brand product that works to organize your utensil drawer?! with the correct needed measurements? If so I am all ears!! TIA if you have any suggestions! Pics would help also! We are Hull 1139, a 2022 Elite II...... Thank you Vic & Wanda Shumate
  8. My Rad expand 5’s folds but I also have a cover on the bed to haul other camping supplies so not a lot of room for the bike whether it’s folded or upright! Getting a 2” receiver installed I think is the way I need to go…..thanks, we will see……
  9. Thanks for all the input, I get the picture lol FYI, I’m attaching pics of the rack I purchased, it’s the MARVOWARE bike rack from Amazon…..Great rack, very solid etc, just needs a 2” receiver……I have it attached with a 1.25” to 2” receiver adapter and it sticks out too far plus, I would never haul the bikes with this set up!!!……the pics are for Information only and the adapter will NOT be used. The reason for my post, I needed to see what others have done! Lol I hear the term punch out the existing 1.25” Oliver receiver and turn it into a 2” receiver!!! How and/or who has done this and how do you punch out the 1.25” to make it into a 2” receiver!? I should have read about this before purchasing the MARVOWARE rack and went with a USA 1up….too late! Lol 🤷🏼‍♂️Thanks for any additional info on the punch out of the 1.25” Oliver existing receiver?
  10. I have a 2” adapter that increase it from a 1.25 to 2” but it adds another 7-8 inches out. Just looking for a simple fix……I will be calling Oliver service on Monday but was hoping for some experienced suggestion that would work….thanks!
  11. Hey John & Wendy! Had a great trip home! Thanks! You head south to Florida, we can make that music happen 🎶 we got a Margaritaville RV resort in Auburndale that is pricey but a GREAT place to stay and it’s only 4 miles from our home😊 safe travels!
  12. I believe it’s called Hardee board or cement board! The garage was built for my first RV a gas 1991 HR imperial 33 foot, then expanded for my 38 foot 1994 HR Navigator before getting a 40 footbluebird LX 2001……..I completely remodeled the whole garage in 2017 when we downsized our living to what is now our RV port home. Sold the bluebird in 2020 and missed the Rv life so after a search purchased the Ollie. I think my Ollie feels at home here 😉 lol
  13. We picked up our Ollie 2 Hull #1139 (We thought we were getting Hull#1132 lol) on June 9, 2022, 1 pm appointment time. After our orientation and education walk around and through by Ryan (very knowledgeable) and our last Financial Paid in full payment to Shelli (A Sweetheart)......We spent the night loading what Camping supplies we brought with us and operating everything we could to make sure everything was working before departing the next day. We met at least three other Oliver owners during this time and found that Nice people do own Oliver's. Some even shared helpful advise of the things they had experience about their unit. Awesome folks! We found a couple of items that needed attention. A little caulk needed below and above the bathroom entrance door (btw these these two seams really need a cover piece to make them more attractive). The front door needed adjustment and the Air Flow fan in the center of the Ollie would not operate properly and had to have a new board installed the next day (June 10). After leaving the factory, we drove to Cullman, Alabama about 140 South of Hohenwald, Tn and spent 11 day's at the Palomino RV Resort ($54 a night) A very nice place to stay! There we utilized the Camper while visiting relatives in the area. We had two other issues pop up with the unit. The battery straps buckle that are in the battery compartment (AGM batteries) had broken. Jason in Service sent out new ones to my home and they have been replaced. The touch led lights over the sink & cooktop both went on the blink. Jason in Service authorized new lights be sent to my home. They are Riveted in and I replaced them with the help of an experienced friend who had done some Riveting in the past. (Note: a small instruction should be wrote up on exactly what to expect if you need to replace these lights in the future). Example: The original connection on the wiring, once the lights are removed, will not pull out of the hole to replace them! You have to splice the new wires to the old wires, so now you have two connection splices. The room to reinsert the wires is very small but we got them back in by removing some of the foam. The new lights are now functioning as intended! The Ollie will be parked in the RV garage (affectionally nicked named Ollie Avenue, for the time being). We are searching for a name to give the Ollie but no hurry. We are in the process of awaiting a mattress topper from MATTRESS INSIDER and 4 sets of fitted sheets. My new Dodge Ram Limited 1500 5.7 liter truck is due for some warranty electrical work and once that is completed and the sheets arrive, we will be off and running to enjoy our new Camper. Hope you enjoy the pictures!?
  14. Looks like I got a lot to think about depending on my needs! You folks are awesome! THANK YOU! Now on to the hunt! Vic Shumate #1132 Auburndale, Fl 33823 2022 Ram LImited 4x4
  15. Thanks for the input folks, gives me things to consider………I’m an X-Bluebird owner and have decided to downsize my life. All other motorhome rv’s I’ve had, were equipped with built in generators and inverters, so using a portable generator (when needed) was a consideration I needed to put some thought into. I really like the features of the Champion, even though I know Hondas to be the best out there! I was told by my sales person, if I went with the Honda 2200, I would need two with a linking device to run the AC!? I will have the easy start installed during the manufacturing process. The 30 amp plug in, with dual fuel on the champion is a great feature, as mentioned above, the con is the weight at 96 lbs?! Does anyone know if any quality generator out there including Champion in the 2200 size offers a 30 amp plug in, so that I would only need one small generator unit? Experience/suggestion with a good set up that has worked for you would possibly be helpful in my considerations! Thanks in advance for any additional knowledge you would like to share😎 Vic Shumate #1132
