  1. Well, I'll be going to Hohenwald on Tuesday to pickup my new LE2! I'm pretty pumped about it, anyone have any tips for me on delivery day?
  2. That is smart, I buy too much from Amazon, I'll have to start buying gift cards from Krogers, too! Thanks for the tip
  3. Hard to find deals on fuel for gassers like you can get for the diesel. I do try everything I can, like 10 cents/gal at Flying J and Loves using their apps, Exxon/Mobil app has rewards that can be applied to gas. I also shop at Kroger, which has a "Boost" program that gives you a 10 cent/gal discount at Shell for every $100 you spend on deliveries. Up to maximum $1 off/gal.
  4. Great info- I'm still considering StarLink- I normally work from home, so thinking about having something reliable for possibly working from the road. Good to know it can be used without any fancy "installation".
  5. Looks like a great lock- if you buy from that link, you can use code "BRIANS10" and get 10% off, which puts the total at $249 including shipping.
  6. Congrats on your retirement! I am closing in on that myself! This was a great question to ask, I'm picking up my LE2 on June 20th, picking up some good tips here. I already have the Harbor Freight wheel chocks and some leveling blocks. Got some plastic dishes, sheets, pillows. I got a Froli system for under the bed. The excitement grows!!!
  7. Thanks, I will check with Oliver sales to be sure, but I imagine it will be the same size as yours. I have a BuiltRight Dash mount and it sounds like I'll have to cobble something together to mount it there. I don't like double-sided tape or suction cup mounts, personally- I'd rather use something from Ram Mounts- the closest thing might be a small tablet holder that grips around the sides. I wonder if the larger Furrion monitors are compatible with the camera... ๐Ÿค”
  8. My 2023 LE2 will be ready within a month, and I am trying to get my tow vehicle setup. In particular I am curious about the size of the Furrion backup camera monitor. I see in the manual provided by Oliver that there are several models, but didn't know which one Oliver provides with the 2023 model. I have a mounting plate on my dash and I use Ram Mounts for attaching cell phone, cameras, etc. I'm looking to purchase a mount for the backup monitor but need to know the dimensions of the monitor itself. Can anybody fill me in?
  9. Ah, thanks! I should have done a better job of searching the forums!
  10. I have ordered the twin-bed LE2 with a Lagun table. It occurs to me now that the Lagun table will block opening the nightstand drawer. I was wondering if it was possible to mount the Lagun table on one of the sides rather than in the center. I plan on keeping one side made up permanently as a bed and the other side with some pillows to use as a couch. Curious if it would be possible to add it myself or would Oliver do it and instead get the basement access...
  11. Wow that is a very generous offer! If I had a bit more experience with hitches and towing, I would take you up on it, but considering Iโ€™ll be picking it up in Hohenwald and towing back to Birmingham, if feel more secure having Oliver do the setup. Iโ€™d hate to screw something up for my maiden tow!
  12. I agree with you- I opted for the Truma AC and water heater ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Her name is Oreo! That photo was taken when I was picking her up from the groomer, so her ears were extra fluffy ๐Ÿ˜ She usually rides in her โ€œtravelโ€ bed and I just ordered a neoprene console cover to keep her nails from digging in. I really do like the non-shedding aspect with poodles, the downside is that their fur just keeps growing and growing, so getting a clip is required. I usually take her to the groomer when i canโ€™t see her eyes anymore ๐Ÿ˜‚.
  14. Aww, you asked for it! She was my late mother-in-lawโ€™s dog first, then my wife took her and now itโ€™s just me and her. She is my special buddy for sure. 8 year old toy poodle and she weighs 8 pounds ๐Ÿ˜‚
  15. That a good idea- Google says Lake Guntersville is only a couple of hours away, so I could come up for a day trip!
  16. Haha! Well, I guess I could retire in June, but I do have the luxury of working from anywhere, so I'm going to see how it turns out if I try to work from the road in the Oliver. If it works OK, I may continue working just to accumulate more cash for retirement. Otherwise, if work cuts into my free time too much, I'll just say "so long!". Health insurance is the only other issue, so I was thinking I would wait until I can sign up for Medicare. I definitely have learned that time is more valuable than money, so that's not lost on me! Best to start living the dream while I am still healthy and active.
  17. Thanks for the welcome and the info! I did include the "Anderson No-Sway Hitch System" in my order. Is this the same thing as the weight-distribution hitch you mentioned? I know the truck also has a no-sway feature that uses the anti-lock braking to prevent trailer sway.
  18. Thanks for the welcome! It's a 2022 Ford F150 4x4 5.0L V8 with the Pro Towing package. I bought it strictly based on the 13,000 lb. towing capacity. Pretty sure it can handle the LE2, but I've heard quite a few folks now say that it may be a bit small? Too late now! ๐Ÿ˜„ But, I think it will be OK, we'll see! Certainly not close to the monster you are driving~
  19. Hi everyone, my name is Steve and I have placed my order for a Legacy Elite II and the estimated delivery is June 20th. I have done very little RV camping, but it has been a plan for many years. My wife and I used to dream about retiring and traveling the country in an RV. Sadly, she passed away before we could realize that dream. I am 64 and planning on retiring once I hit the magic 65 in September. In December, I purchased my tow vehicle. Took a trip up to Hohenwald a couple of weeks ago and met with Jason at Oliver. I toured the factory and pulled the trigger on the new trailer. Still have a lot of learning to do-- there are days and days of videos on YouTube about Olivers and also just RVing in general so I've been binging those ๐Ÿ˜„ Really looking forward to this summer when me and my pup will hit the road!
