technomadia
As we were driving through Nebraska in what seems like eons ago (actuality - just over a week ago), we came across the little town of Oliver, NE. I was really hoping they had a water tower to park our Oliver under for some great photos.... but alas, they're not that big of a city. But, they did have a little campground called Oliver Reservoir Recreation Area. How cool is that? Possible future Olver Rally spot? - Cherie

Moderators mountainborn Posted August 23, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 23, 2008 Many mountain folks will not fillet a Yellow Perch, they like them better cooked with the bones in. We like them better that way too ! Moderators SeaDawg Posted August 24, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 24, 2008 Quite true. If they're little, no need to fillet, and the bones are tender, especially after breading and frying.... Beyond little, at least the slit and the backbone has to be done. Tedious, but worth it... Yum. Even, so, my favorite is the bigger walleye... unbelievable flavor, and so flakey.
