Overland Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Lol, once you start adding Victron kit it’s impossible to stop. Start saving for the MultiPlus. I probably would have left it in the hull but your install looks nice. Are you going to put the display where the Zamp controller is? I guess you’re going to need a cover plate of some sort - any ideas what you’re going to use?
rideadeuce Posted June 29, 2019 Author Posted June 29, 2019 Overland, that is what I have been thinking about all morning. The Color GX display is 7 mm narrower than the Zamp controller. So not sure, any ideas? Probably a cover plate of some sort or possibly just white caulk 3-4 mm each side is not that much. BTW, the additional solar panels are making quite a bit of difference (33% more amperage)! Wow, very happy. Oh, and the only reason I moved it up top is so that it is easier to connect the VE.direct cables to the Color GX from the solar controller and battery monitor. - Mike Brentwood, TN - 2018 Elite II - Spirit of Adventure Hull #308 - 2016 Toyota Tundra Limited 5.7L Class IV hitch with 12k lb coupler, Weigh safe adjustable trailer hitch, Dobinsons HD 2in Leaf springs, Timbren bump stops, Dobinsons 3in coilovers and UCAs, Mechman 370 amp HO alternator. rideadeuce Posted June 29, 2019 Author Posted June 29, 2019 Mid-ship right along beside the solar wire (adjacent to the pantry)... straight shot. Overland Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 There are marine supply places that will do custom plates, or maybe a local sign shop could match what's already in the trailer. I can't remember if my display came with a plate for a larger opening - it may have. I think it was ScubaRX who made some custom switch plates for his trailer - I know someone did. 1
