theOrca Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 As I cleaned out my Airstream 23D in preparation to selling it, I realized that I might not be able to use my "Roto Chocks" on the new Elite II that will be delivered next April. Roto Chocks are no longer made, but pretty well last forever. I have both the Medium and Large sizes, so actually have some flexibility. There is also a pretty active swap and trade group of Roto Chock owners, so even if my sizes are wrong, I may be able to trade someone for the right size. Would someone please measure the space between your Oliver Elite II tires, crown to crown (i.e., right in the middle of the tire tread, front to back). It is probably a good idea to stick to 2018 and 2019 model years?!? That will tell me exactly which size Roto Chock I need to look for. Trainman Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Without knowing the length on your chocks we would all be guessing, I have the Anderson and there is about 6" left between to tire and the Anderson when put into place. I have found that rolling off the Anderson's can be a problem, I always back down them the way I rolled upon them, they can hit the trailing wheel and cause problems upon exit. trainman 1 2019 RAM 1500, 5.7 Hemi, 4X4, Crew Cab, 5'7" bed, Towing Package, 3.92 Gears. Oliver was sold.
Townesw Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 I measured 4-3/8 one side, 4-7/16 other side. Measured as pictured below. 51 psi in the tires. Sitting level on concrete floor. 2 1 Bill and Martha 2018 LEII Hull 313 Original owners 3/14/2018 2019 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax
theOrca Posted October 16, 2019 Author Posted October 16, 2019 I measured 4-3/8 one side, 4-7/16 other side. ...(snip)... Yay. That equates to a size L in Roto Chocks. Just so happens I have the plates for size L, and I can take all other parts from my size M which is what the Airstream took... Thank you, thank you!! theOrca, 2020 Legacy Elite II, Twin, Hull 615 Tow Vehicle - 2016 Ram 1500, Hemi, 8 Speed with 1500# rear springs and Goodyear bags.
