Spare Tire storage - XPEL 8 mil paint protection -

Recommended Posts

Surrounded here at home in the foothills by an incredible a North Carolina fall day, I decided to install a bit of left over 8 mil paint protection where the spare tire can potentially rub and leave marks on the Oliver during travel. I had a little 8 mil left over from a previous install and decided to use it.
After a good through cleaning and waxing of the area, I installed the 8 mil XPEL covering the entire location where the tire touch’s the Ollie finish. This will help the finish looking decent for a long time.  (A little caution flag - factory sticker on the rim  states clean with hot soap water only.)

Hope this helps anyone considering this mod.
