Colonial Pipe line shutting down due to Hurricane “IDA”

Just saw this news. Colonial Pipeline is shutting down the pipeline. Just thought I would post up since this pipeline supplies about 75% of North Carolina’s fuel. Hopefully there won’t be a run on the pumps, this is wishful thinking.. Not a lot of info in this article, but be aware.

Thankfully, haven't seen price or availability changes yet, outside asheville.

Thanks for the heads up.  15 or 20 per cent of 🇺🇸 refined gas comes out of Nola area. It may change.

Usually does.

The Colonial pipeline was only shut down (as a precautionary measure) for a couple of days and is now back up and running as normal.  Reports are that there should be few, if any, shortages but that prices are expected to increase over most of the country at least on a temporary basis.
