johnwen Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Hello all, I posted earlier that my propane tank did not last long after pickup from oliver. We have the additional propane hookup, so we have 2. I've not used them yet and after inspecting them I see what looks like a swivel shutoff valve. Both are inline with the supply tubing. Is that a shutoff position or do I need to rotate it to be perpendicular with the supply tube? John Oliver II #996 "Bessie", 2019 Silverado LTZ 5.3, Veterans https://wenandjohnsadventure.com/
Moderators topgun2 Posted January 17, 2022 Moderators Posted January 17, 2022 Those ball valve shutoffs usually have yellow handles and are usually positioned perpendicular to the supply line when the flow of gas is meant to be off. However, even if the handles are in the "on" position there should not be any gas flowing unless there is something connected to them or unless the valve at the end of the propane line is faulty. johnwen Posted January 17, 2022 Author Posted January 17, 2022 Thanks, Bill. I'll have to soap everything to see if I have a leak anywhere. John Oliver II #996 "Bessie", 2019 Silverado LTZ 5.3, Veterans https://wenandjohnsadventure.com/
Moderators Mike and Carol Posted January 17, 2022 Moderators Posted January 17, 2022 Like Bill said, they should be perpendicular. You won’t be able to attach a quick connect unless they are. Mike 1 2 Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L
