  1. Some do, it depends on the unit. I would prefer to trim the lineset to the correct lengths and thoroughly vacuum the lines myself. That's the exact process I used on my Pioneer. I would highly recommend applying Nylog Blue to all sides of the flare fittings/threads and the dustcap threads.
  2. That was one of the easiest parts of the installation. 🙂
  3. I bought a LE2 Platinum Twin a couple months ago. 🙂 I would highly recommend the Yellow Jacket eccentric tool. I wouldn't take a chance with such a critical component. Wall mount. I'm amazed at how quiet both the indoor and outdoor units are. No vibration transmitted to the building either. The wall mount bracket came with rubber vibration pads, but there's very little vibration to begin with. Here's the exterior part of the installation at my house:
  4. Just installed a 24k BTU Pioneer mini split in my garage. Takes some time and effort, but it's doable if you're handy. I don't have experience with a dual head unit. You will need some specialty tools: Cut, debur, and flare copper tubing (get the Yellow Jacket eccentric) Vacuum pump Micron gauge (recommended) Lineset bender kit (BendAid) Specialty torque wrench (or crows foot) for flare nuts Measure everything multiple times before making any critical cuts or holes. The included cardboard template for mounting the inside unit was wrong, but luckily I caught the error. It works exceptionally well and is very quiet, both inside and outside. Benjamin Sahlstrom has some excellent installation videos: https://www.youtube.com/@BenjaminSahlstrom/videos
  5. So for those ordering straight from the factory, there are no negotiations and everyone pays the exact same price? I'm planning on the LE2 Platinum twin configuration. I'm considering the composting toilet. I think the only other options would be the second awning and upgraded batteries, both of which I'm not planning to add. Anything else I should know before purchasing?
  6. I'm shopping for a LE2. Any recommendation whether to buy direct from the factory or from a dealer? Are there pricing negotiations or does everyone pay the same price?
