  1. ahattar,

I am quick to defend the Oliver company because of my experience with them has been extremely positive.  Yep, I had a leak from the curb side window and I had one of my lead acid batteries go bad but that is the extent of my problems.  And after troubleshooting both issues I found that the common denominator was me, the lazy one.  I neglected the widow tracks and allowed the weep slots to become clogged and after a 5" rainfall in 24 hours, there was an overflow into the interior.  The battery issue was also a lack of maintenance.

And I once bought a mid-seventies AMF Super Glide that was a real prize, but that didn’t stop me from buying a 1980 Tour Glide and a 1996 Road King.  I still own a 2000 Road Glide.  But I did drive past a HD dealer 3 miles into a 25 mile trip to a dealer that did appreciate my business, but that was my choice.

So yes,  I am an OTT fan boy, but I also bought into your sales tactics 4 times over a 25 years, so I guess I am a HD fan boy as well.  Maybe I should have drank the Kool-Aid Big Red was serving, "where you meet the nicest people".  Or maybe I’m just stupid.  I’ll leave that for others to judge, not that I give a hoot.

And this is my favorite t-shirt these days.

Thanks to all for allowing me some of your time,

  2. routlaw,

Your mention of Swiftcurrent, reminded me of my favorite hike in that area which took us to the Ptarmigan Tunnel.  Tried that hike again years later, but the trail was closed do to a moose kill, so we had to try a new hike and went up to the Swiftcurrent Fire Lookout.  Thank you for the memories.

  3. The Oliver Travel Trailer family has once again demonstrated their commitment to all OTT customers by increasing the knowledge base available to not only today’s owners, but tomorrow’s as well through their YouTube channel.

I wonder how many RV manufacturers would post a YouTube video discussing the possibility of their RV's leaking! And then providing guidance to prevent and or correct such an issue.

Wow, it’s refreshing to spot a bit of frankness in the world today.

    Thank you Oliver Travel Trailers!

  4. David,

In a previous post bhncb stated:

On 4/9/2020 at 4:37 PM,  bhncb said:
The Truma has to detect approximately .4 gpm flow in order to turn on. Operation might be iffy with a .35 gpm aerator.

    To which Overland stated:

We have the same aerator on our kitchen sink, and haven't had a problem.  But that might be because we have the truma comfort plus model with the water circulator.  So I'm curious now if anyone with the regular truma has tried this aerator and if it works for them.

And that is the question I tried to answer, so I apologize if my answer was not clear.  So in an effort to clear up my statement, the short answer is yes.

I put a Mikado Uno .35 GPM in the stock Dura bathroom faucet/shower head and it triggers the Truma AquaGo Comfort in either the faucet or shower mode.

I suppose you could always fool the Truma in the shower mode and switch back the the faucet mode if needed, but that would defeat the water saving feature of the .35 GPM aerator or use the .5 GPM version instead.

  6. Thanks KWRJRPE!

Not sure this is the best topic category to place this suggestion, but since you folks are discussing refrigerators, here goes.

I just noticed my 2019 Oliver LE2 (Hull#444) Norcold Refrigerator outside vent door was missing one of the two plastic vent door clamps.  I found this on Amazon and suggest folks order a spare or two unless someone has devised a better way to keep the vent door in place.

I am happy to report they also work on the Dometic RM2454 vent covers as well.  Although I didn’t lose one, I did break one on my upper vent.  My refrigerator exhaust fan does not start when I turn it on, so I remove the cover and spin the blade and it starts running.  The fan issue is on my list of things to do but the button is replaced.

    Sherry and Mike and Carol,

I guess they don’t make em like they used to.

  7. Are you suggesting that I not grease the suspension until I see you at the rally and you can do it for me while also showing me how to do it Bill's way?

I have used a creeper to grease the suspension several times and that works fine other than I haven’t figured out how to deflate the creeper wheels while doing the axle limbo.😄.  I usually use a roll of paper towels cleaning up the grease that seeped out between the grease gun and the zerk.  So I was hoping the LockNLube tip would help.

  8. I think I will wait until the problem has been diagnosed and corrected before I condemn or laud Oliver Travel Trailers quality control procedures.  After all, this trailer was delivered by a 3rd party to Wyofilm.  It is quite possible that everything worked as designed when it left Hohenwald.
I do know that the experiences that I have had with hull #193 may or may not apply to hull #609, as OTT makes changes every year in order to create a better travel trailer.  For instance, while watching the video of the new 2020 E2 a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the galley drawers appear to have an internal latch to prevent unintended opening while underway.  I can’t confirm this because I haven’t seen it, but the video leads me to believe it.

  9. Yes, you will be using the regulator on board.  Put the Blackstone hose and regulator in storage.  Just install the fitting on the grill and leave it there.  It’s your call whether you leave it installed or remove it each time you use the grill.  It sticks out a bit but should not inhibit storage.  Mine points to the back of the grill.  I also have the carry bag which also offers some protection.

When it's time to use the grill, just connect the male quick connection to the trailer and the female quick connection to the grill.  Then turn on both of the shut off handles to the open position and you are ready to light the grill.

I can post some pictures if my instructions are not clear.
