    30 X 75 Sheets for Oliver Twin

    I take old king or queen sheets from the house and make an envelope with the flap on the wall side.  Now I will admit that they aren’t pretty because I can’t sew a straight line, but they sleep well and they were cheap.  And I also cut twin size bed spreads down to size so there wasn’t so much to tuck in.

    Well to make a long story longer, a friend who full times in a Class C was scheduled to work on the peninsula this summer.  Her vague assignment was in the Hoh Rainforest area so we made a reservation at a campground nearby and Bogachiel was the closest I found that didn't have a 21' limitation.  We made a single night reservation and would move somewhere with her guidance.  It turned out she was actually was going to work at Fairholme, but that’s all on hold at the present time with the park still closed.
    As far as Bogachiel is concerned, the map placed it right on US 101,  so I didn’t think I could get into too much trouble finding my camping spot.  And it only cost $8 for an online reservation and another $8 to cancel as the state waived the % based fee on how long you held the reservation which would have been another $11 dollars.  So all of you Washington State forum members should contact your representatives and let them know where you would like the remainder of my $16 spent in your great state.  Maybe they can repair one of those washed out bridges you mentioned.🙂

    Water leak

    So I guess the bed got wet.  

    Was the bed wet under both halves of the window?  If not, concentrate on the the half that was wet.
    Did you see any water stains or spots on the chrome belly band?  If you are testing by yourself, tape some newspaper to the inside wall under the windows and it will make any water leak visible.  And look at the window tracks for signs of water or dampness.  
    Did you water test the light fixture above the window?
    Are the outside weep holes clean?  See the Oliver YouTube video for more information.

    Atwood Propane Alarm

    I replaced mine with one I picked up in Hohenwald from the service department last August.  As I remember, the price was as good as elsewhere, maybe about $60.  I then replaced it while on the road when I got aggravated enough to drag out some snips and wire nuts.  I cut the wires at the butt splices to the Ollie wiring and used wire nuts to connect the new one.  I used wire nuts because I didn’t think the new detector would solve the problem, but 9 months later, I think the test has been a success and butt connector are needed to complete the job.

    Measure the hole before ordering a new one.

    Bike Rack

    My bike weighs in at 34 lbs. and Krunch’s is 33 lbs. so we are good weight wise.  And I have not seen any evidence of stress or fatigue.  I don’t think removing the stinger changes the capacity because the BikeWing has the same 80 lb. capacity as the Jack-It does and it doesn’t have the angled stinger.  I removed it for increased clearance over the propane tank cover.  And since my Ollie is named the "the dog house”, I can’t call the propane cover the doghouse.  Sure my dog house has some scratches, but not from the bikes or rack.

    Thanks for the kind words!  Do I have to stop by that little farm in Tennessee for some of that sourdough bread or are you going to be baking at the rally.  
    And speaking of doghouse's, how is Harley doing?

    I mounted the tower in the stock Oliver tray so it it centered on the trailer instead of offset like the jack.  There is a 1/4" stainless steel plate below the trailer A-Frame that the 4 bolts pass through, clamping the PowerTower and storage tray together.

    And to make a long story longer, this is the 3rd bike rack I have put on the Ollie.  The first 2 attempts used bike racks I already owned.  One was mounted on the back and interfered with opening the rear bumper and the second utilized Thule wheel trays mounted to the front cargo tray.  
    I was searching for a used Jack-it rack during these experiments and finally found one at a price that allowed me to fearlessly modify it.  As you can see from the rust in the picture, the tower was mounted under a jack by the previous owner.  
    I eliminated the Bike Wing Stinger and drilled a new hole 90° from original to mount the Y - Shaped Base.  I had to drill from both sides because I didn’t have a 90° drill attachment at that time.  Now the bikes sit directly above the PowerTower.

    After nearly 4000 miles, I can say that it works well.

    Fan tastic

    Here is a picture of both fans for reference. 
    The white Caframo fan is 12v and cost $99.  The black Lemoistar fan is 5v USB and cost $16.

    Each fan has a different purpose for me.  The Caframo is generally used for cooling or air movement.  The Lemoistar replaced the fan below which topgun2 gave me to help reduce false alarms from the Atwood propane/CO sensor under the dinette table.

    The USB flexible stick fan lasted about 2 weeks for me.  So I ordered a 3 pack from Amazon, sent one to topgun2 to replace his.  And my new one last 3 weeks.  Then I ordered the Lemoistar for mounting on the wall under the table.  And it works well for the intended purpose.

    I ultimately replaced the Atwood sensor which solved the false alarm issue.  So we now use the Lemoistar where ever needed.

    But we never travel with either fan mounted or unsecured.

    Weber Q1200 grill regulator question

    I actually bought that fitting for my Coleman Suitcase grill I have had for about 20 years.  It didn’t fit, so I bought the Blackstone 17" griddle that it does fit.  That’s putting the cart before the horse.  And now you know the rest of the story.

    I do believe there are multiple regulator fitting sizes for 1 lb. gas bottles.  But of course I was trying to retrofit something I bought before Amazon.

    Blackstone grill hose

    The fitting referred to in the posting above is specifically listed for use with the Blackstone griddle.  I don’t know if it would work with a Blue Rhino Razor griddle or not.  You could order it and try it and return it if it didn’t fit your griddle.  You might call Blue Rhino support and see if they have any suggestions for connecting the griddle directly to the 1/4" quick connection on the trailer.  Let them know that you want to use the LP regulator on the trailer and bypass the griddle regulator.

    This is the adapter you asked about.

    At the end of the day, each of us buys something for our Oliver hobby that other Ollie owners might think is a waste of money.

    As someone that lives in a tropical climate and does not have a hanger to park "the dog house" in, replacing the outside window gasket may be the best $100 I ever spent.

    Not only does my trailer look better it also saves me time and although I am retired, my time still has value.  I would rather do a more interesting mod on the trailer.

    And remember, we worry about mold and mildew year round in Florida instead of salt on the highway.
