We're all looking forward to more good news. Good luck, Steve and Tali. And a speedy recovery, Steve. Sherry and Paul

You may think these guys are funny (or not)... I did. Kind of a red/green spoof https://www.kotulas.com/guide-to-the-good-life.htm Sherry

Doug, Looked again at your website recommendation today. Each time I click on the demo link, another area chosen at random pops up, with good info. Very complete... and often there are many good little city and county parks that (usually) only the locals know about. Good find. Hope you and Geneva have a great time on your trip out west. Sherry

APRIL 09' JUG FISHING CAMPOUT INVITATION
SeaDawg replied to mountainborn's topic in Events & Rallies
In response to the video, yes, we do wish we were at the lake. Looks like a great time for everybody... -
Doug, That's an interesting site. At first, I clicked on the demo, and got info on overnight parking spots near Quebec City (never been there...), and it was all Walmarts, parking lots, and a Sears store... oh, disappointment. Then I found a link to an area I used to know well, parks near Clear Lake in north central Iowa, just south of Minnesota border. I was pleased to see a really good list of nice, small parks (city and county) (not just walmarts, welcome centers and casinos) that most outsiders would never know existed.... If the rest of this site is this good, it's a great one. Just for grins, I cross-referenced with freecampgrounds.com to see if the Iowa parks were on the list. Many were, but the info was nowhere near as detailed or accurate as it is listed on the site you recommended. Thanks for sharing this. I've never seen it anywhere before. Please let us know about your continuing experience with using it for recommendations. Sherry PS If you and Geneva ever wind up driving thru Iowa (some people think it's punishing, but many parts of the state are truly flat beautiful...), here's a link to state campgrounds. http://www.iowadnr.gov/parks/state_park_list/index.html But, they're probably already all on the website you suggested.

Happy Easter to all of you. You can really see the rain coming down through the restaurant window in your video. Glad you all made it off the lake without a major mishap. Running for shore in rain and lightning is never fun. Sherry -

Did Dillon eat the bbq, too? Looks like he's ready for a nap! Can't tell you how much we wish we were there with you. Looks like an amazing, fun gathering. Sherry -
Oliver Owners living on the West Coast?
SeaDawg replied to astrocaster's topic in General Discussion
Steve, We don't get west of the Mississippi too often (even by plane), but we will be certain to send a pm your way if we wind up in your neighborhood. It's a shame that more of the western Oliver owners aren't active on the forum. I see you've probably already discovered the calendar of "egg meets" on fiberglassrv.com. We had a really good time at RVerII last September, meeting some of our forum members for the first time, and also meeting many owners of Scamps, Burros, and Casitas. Sherry -

Larry, Even with the couzie cover, I can still tell that's a Stewart's soda underneath. Beware! The 1924 gives it away. One grocery store here carries Stewart's only during the winter/in season months. Other times of the year, it's necessary to go to the bookstore cafe and pay way tooooo much for a root beer or a key lime soda. Peach is the ultimate rarity here. Almost never see it. Sherry (The rest of the year, IBC is next best root beer. Their creme soda is top notch.) -
Butcherknife Betty's Lake Greeson Kitchen
SeaDawg replied to mountainborn's topic in Ollie Modifications
Wow. Already at Lake Greeson, and retired, too! Looking forward to the photo of Betty's finished kitchen. With her amazing gear and talent, I'm sure she can cook anything and everything you guys can catch, all the sides, and then some. She's one amazing lady in her own right. Have a blast! We're thinking of you. (Getting ready to rain here, and temp is dropping steadily. Hope your weather is fine all weekend!) Sherry -
That's beautiful! Your friend is an amazing artist. (And how did you two both manage stand still so long, through over 60 photos...?) Sherry

Phil, Thanks for the link. I'll give this guy major snaps if he really biked his tiny camper from Oregon to Mexico! sherry

Oliver featured on Yahoo Developer Network!
SeaDawg replied to technomadia's topic in General Discussion
I just viewed your interview... You both look and sound great (and so intelligent, as always). The technomadic lifestyle must be agreeing with you. The photos were great. Safe travels, Sherry -
Wow! Congrats, and welcome to happy Geezerville, where we've been happy, active residents for a few years. Life changing, I know. You'll experience the days when you wake up at the normal time and wonder just what it is you're supposed to do now that you're retired.... Your car will turn onto the road to work of its own accord if you strike out into morning traffic. Ah, the relief, when you realize what the car has done, and you can turn down another road and go to breakfast, instead. Seriously, I know that everyone in the department and town will miss you dearly. We wish you and Betty many happy years of residency in Geezerville's mobile village. Sherry and Paul.

Well, his Oliver is.... The FGRV homepage just changed the photo.... Do you recognize this trailer? http://www.fiberglassrv.com/index.html Check it out. Hint: There's only one Oliver I've seen with that cute, off-center smiley face on the spare tire cover.....

Thanks for thinking of us guys, but it's not in the cards this spring. I had foot surgery three weeks ago, and I'm not in camping form yet... Maybe next year, if this becomes an annual get-together. We'll be thinking of you, though, and we'll be on the lookout for great photos and videos of the Jugfishing event. Sherry (& Paul)

Got home awhile ago from lovely little San Antonio, FL, where we met Tumbleweed & Earthdancer for dinner. We chatted over dinner about their plans for spring and summer in New Mexico, and the Lake Greeson Catfish Jugfishing Rally... and sharing news and memories of mutual friends we've met in person and on the forum. On the way home, we talked with Bugeyedriver on the phone for awhile, sharing his news and ours. I so enjoy our virtual extended campfire circle that now reaches from coast to coast. The forum is a great group. As camping season begins soon for many of us, we wish you all safe travels and wonderful adventures. Sherry

Butcherknife Betty's Lake Greeson Kitchen
SeaDawg replied to mountainborn's topic in Ollie Modifications
Wow, Betty, you've got an entire catering kitchen setup going on. That's one fantastic setup. As you know, I'm not too fond of microwaves, but I covet your camp oven.... That looks really nice. Sherry -
On another forum, I saw a link to this unbelievable RV for sale on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BIGGEST- ... 240%3A1318 Sherry

Florida has some wonderful parks and campgrounds to offer, and this is a great time of the year to visit. Our local newspaper, The St. Petersburg Times, featured a two page article on ten great campgrounds in Florida, many of which are close to us. This article is part of a four-part series they'll be running this year. We've been to a few of these, heard raves about others from friends, and hope to visit more of them this spring and fall. Thought I'd post the link for those of you who may be planning a trip to Florida. Sherry

We all love Buffalo Bob. And, I think he probably got a big charge out of your comment earlier, as did I. So funny, tongue in cheek.... so often, I'm foot in mouth, so to speak. Have a great time in Arkansas. Wish we could be there. Sherry
