  1. I have finally had a chance to both tinker and document the modifications & customizations I'm making to my Oliver. This Teak Shower Mat is something I've had for years in my Airstream and really Like it to shoe marks in the shower. Purchased from Teakworks4u. $189 plus shipping. They have the Oliver LE II template in their system.

  3. Tongue weight was 448 with nothing in the truck bed. The composite Propane tanks did shave off some weight. Also, I did not have my Honda EU2000 generator or alternatively my Yeti cooler on the front cargo rack either. I'll work on the Dune Jump video for you :)
  4. The Sprinter platform has between a 5,000 to 7,500 towing capacity depending on configuration. The Sprinter and Oliver drover very well together. I was very happy with performance and road manners.
  5. Overland, It was great meeting you at the Sales Office as well. Since my delivery ran late and then it began to rain cats & dogs, I failed to get many of the upgrades & mods completed before I turned back around to drive home to Texas. I started to work on a few today (which I will post to forum) but at 95 degrees and the majority of the morning was spent on giving the trailer a good wash after the trip home. I do have one teaser photo for you. The trailer only dropped the bumper by 1.5 inches I was expecting 2+ inches so I need to reset the hitch height. More to come...
  6. We have had the Airstream since 2014 and have over 40,000 miles on it just from exploring the US and spending holidays with my family on the east coast. The 4 years of ownership and many miles have given me much time to figure out how to optimize RVing for how our family and uses the RV and our growing/changing needs. If I new then what I know now, I would have purchased a customer upfitted shorter wheelbase 4x4 Mercedes Sprinter that was dialed in to my exact needs and had an Oliver from day one!!! Live and learn.
  7. Great question! My boys were little when we purchased the Airstream in 2014 and we all fit from a sleeping stand point until they became teenagers and are both approaching 6 feet plus tall. This way we have the flexibility to decided based on the current travel senecio what our sleeping/camping needs maybe. If we are just going from Home to a destination (say my parents house) we can take the Airstream with up up to 9 people with a bathroom and a fridge. But if we be needing mobile hotel room while going from Texas to the East Coast, we now have to seperate sleepling accomidations and can sleep up to 5 full size adults with now 2 bathrooms and 2 refrigerators and plenty of storage. If it is just me and the 2 boys and we are going to go camping, fishing, or hunting, I’ll hook the Oliver up to the back of my Ford F-150 Raptor and we are set. For me, I already had the Airstream and I wanted more modular flexibility that the Oliver gives me with longevity and quaility being the key! BTW the Airstream averaged 13 MPG from Oliver Factory in Tennessee back to home in Houston, TX, not to bad. Thanks for asking!
  8. After 2 years of planning and waiting...I'm all in!!! Hull #259
  9. How about giving a nod to our close proximity to fiberglass maritime design with the use of Flotilla or an altogether new words like Towtilla or Olitilla????
  10. I'm planning on using this: http://www.valterra.com/product/sewersolution-system-boxed/ Think Macerator with no moving parts. Uses a high pressure water nosel to breakup the unpleasantries and send it all down a manageable see-thru hose. Reviews have all been very positive and the cost is far cheaper to the macerator without the failure points!!!!
  11. Would anyone know the socket size I need for the Legacy Elite II Lug nuts? Thank you!
  12. My rationale is that if you buy a standard Mattress cover (oversized for bed), 2 Twin Flat Sheets (oversized), an oversized Blanket, and potentially a standard comforter --- then you attempt to tuck all that excess fabric from those individual bedding pieces under the mattress. You could get raised edges all the way around that may start looking & feeling like a like a nest vs. a flat surface. This will be especially noticeable when you use it as a sofa or for seating when it is all made-up.
  13. I found high-quality sheets and mattress pad on Amazon that are for designated as Cot mattresses size (30" x 75") same as Ollie "Twin" beds less the radius angles on the corners. We'll see how they work out. Much cheaper than custom Sheets and Mattress Pad. Mattress Pad $33 each: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JK0YEDU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Sheets 600 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton $57 each: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072L4N5Y7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We'll see how they work out. Nice little tip to look for Bedding for Cot Mattress dimensions and more accurate than RV Bunk bed dimensions (who knew)!!!
  14. Which color counter tops did you both go with? Thanks
  15. I use this at home with grill and generators. Great Bluetooth iPhone App interface and very accurate in all weather. They also sell a remote monitor module. http://AP Products 024-1001 Propane Tank Gas Level Indicator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C5RQJHS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_NqwuzbXXMR1RC
  16. I just called Heather and added back the "pure white" Blinds. Thanks for the heads-up that is a huge WIN vs having to go another aftermarket route. One less thing to worry about!!!!
  17. I ordered the upgrade mattress "latex" is that the Southern Mattress option? I should be taking delivery in early Sept. This was the only mattress upgrade option that was offered to me.
  18. I've ordered my OTT without the blinds. I couldn't get past the off white coloration against the pure white hull finish. Could anyone tell me the size of the factory installed blind frame? If memory serves me correctly, I think all 3 Windows with blinds are the same size, correct? Thank you!
  19. Question for this OTT owners with TRUMA AQUAGO tankless water heater... do you feel as if the existing bathroom vent and open window provide enough exhaust ventilation on those hot humid days during longer city connected showers? Or should I consideration the feasibility of a MaxxFan in the bathroom? Thanks
  20. Has anyone ever considered or modified their trailer to utilize MCD American Day-Night Roller Shade? Thanks
  21. If you want to drivable counterpart to the OTT look at Coachhouserv.com. It is premium priced but you get what you pay for. Being an Airstream Interstate owner this is the direction I would go if I was to do it over.
  22. Trumpetguy, Thanks for the insight on the Atwood Air Command 13.5. Now I get how you were able to run it on a single Honda EU2000i. Are you happy with the unit and performance to date? I understand that the fan runs full time on the unit always when the unit is on, not sure it that is such a bad thing. I'd appreciate your feedback and recommendation over the Dometic Penguin II. Thank you
  23. TrumpetGuy, Were you able to have the trailer's A/C run off a single Honda EU2000i? If so, was it able to handle the A/C load along with other appliances running in the trailer? Did you use a 20 Watt connection to the generator? Thanks --- Cobra1169
