Torque Wrench Calibration

Where do people get their torque wrenches calibrated? I have read they should be calibrated every year 

 

I have had no luck finding a place near me. Searches end up the wrench to be shipped to them.

 

Hoping there is a nationwide company people use that is in the Indianapolis area.

When I bought my torque wrench, I wint onto u-tube and learn how to do it myself. I just needed to buy a lugage weight scale.

After watching the video a couple of times, I found it easy to do myself.

I took both my torque wrenches to my auto mechanic. I've been a loyal customer and he was happy to take them.
When the Snap-on truck stopped by, as they do fairly regularly, he had the calibration tools on hand in his truck as they regularly test/calibrate torque tools for all the shops they visit. One of my wrenches was a Snap-on, the other was a Precision Instrument. Fortunately, they both tested in spec. Good to know!

I never realized how many torque wrenches we actually owned. Two shallow  drawers full..
