RAshell
Hello; When not in use, what is the best way to 1) Cover the 7 pin from the elements it seems so vulnerable just hanging out there, 2) looking for a recommendation for tire covers, and 3)when the fridge is off, how do you keep the light off when the door is slightly open? Thanks! 2024 Ford F150 XLT, 2024 Legacy Elite II
rich.dev
Here’s what I do 1) Tug the 7 pin in between the fibreglass and aluminum beam, it’s a nice tight fit 2) bought kohree rv tire covers from Amazon, there are many options 3) I stuck green painters tape over the switch Edited October 14 by rich.dev 1 2023 Elite II, Hull# 1386, Lithium Platinum Package (640AH, 400W Roof Solar, 3000W Xantrex Inverter), added 400W Renogy Solar suitcase with Victron MPPT 100/30 CC, Truma water heater & AC TV: 2024 Silverado 2500HD 6.6L 10-Speed Allison
Steph and Dud B
We have this mounted to our front storage basket. Works well. A little snug around the plug but that keeps stuff out. Moderators SeaDawg Posted October 16 Moderators Share Posted October 16 The fridge light doesn't come on if the door is only slightly open. With ours,,and towel folded keeps it open , a jug of rv antifreeze keeps it from swinging wider. Or, any appropriate doorstop. ScottyGS
For the 7 pin I have always just looped in around the tongue so that it hangs straight down. Never had the dreaded ghost lights or problems with moisture. Tire covers... Prefer the type that covers both wheels. Couldn't tell you what brand because I bought them so long ago. The double ones fit well and have a bungee like chord to attach them which I never use... they aren't going anywhere. Important to use them to keep the sun off the tires. Good Luck and Happy Camping!
