Visio TV connection at a KOA

Hi all, we have a Visio TV that works at home by the garage hooking up to the Wi-Fi at home.  The Grand Junction, Colorado KOA shows strong Wi-Fi but when I try to access it and I choose GrandJunctionKOA it says,"no internet" and doesn't progress to the next step of putting in the code.  Any idea how to solve this?  Thanks

The campground might have a webpage that must be accessed first to accept terms before entering the network key. I had this happen once before and I just ended up streaming from my phone to the TV instead.

I would talk to the office at the KOA in the morning. I know at the Charleston KOA has a number to call if you are streaming on their  WiFi.  No extra charge involved, just a few extra steps.

How do you stream from your phone?  I am not tech savvy.  Any easy steps to take?

I have an HDMI cable that connects my phone to the TV. I'm sure there are other ways but it's probably going to be tricky if the phone and TV are not on the same WiFi network. 

You might also want to try setting up your phone as a WiFi hotspot and then connecting your tv to it.

The Starlink Mini is in sale right now for $299.00 and makes streaming a breeze. 😊 We also stayed at that same KOA when we got our Alcan leaf pack installed. We were glad to have the Mini and it worked great.

We use this adapter and an hdmi cable.  We plug into the furrion head unit. I usually have to play around with the settings on the head unit and the tv to make it work.  Apple TV streaming service never works this way.  The process is cumbersome, but we rarely watch tv in our trailer.  I thought about using an Apple TV device to airplay to the tv, but I think both the phone and the Apple TV would need to be on the same WiFi to work and we often don’t have WiFi when camping.

This is where the WiFiRanger or Cradlepoint routers if you have one, come in handy. We use ours as a local network to connect all our devices together even when there isn't WiFi available at a campground.
