johnwen Posted Saturday at 11:06 PM Posted Saturday at 11:06 PM Has anyone had to replace the mount bolts for the entry steps? Found this problem after arrival to campground. One sheared and half was missing, the other was loose but still useable. I'll check with Oliver on Monday. We have a few weeks of downtime starting tomorrow so I'll get to start on my "fix-it" list :) John 2 2022 Oliver II #996 "Bessie", 2019 Silverado LTZ 5.3, Veterans https://wenandjohnsadventure.com/

Hopefully no damage to an oncoming vehicle. I've never checked them...I thought they were riveted on. 1 2022 Oliver II #996 "Bessie", 2019 Silverado LTZ 5.3, Veterans https://wenandjohnsadventure.com/

I removed ours when I worked a major overhaul on the steps, sanded down the aluminum and scraped the old tread out to replace with 3M new. Surprising one came lose since ours where in VERY tight. On one side the nut end mushroomed and would not fit into the hole again, so it couldn’t be reused. I just used a standard short bolt same diameter with locknut (not wanting to wait and pay for parts and shipping for such a small item). I have a list of small things like this, that if I ever truly need parts from OTT, I’d get these too. They are nice bolts, how they fit with no threads showing!
