Truma Aventa A/C drip

Hello friends, have a situation that calls for your expert advice and knowledge. While camping at Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta this past week, we developed a drip from Truma a/c inside the cabin that we found disturbing. A slow drip from the knob that adjusts the front to rear airflow ( probably the low point) plagued us the last 3-4 days of our trip. Now, Atlanta in July is not the most hospitable place on the map with temps in the upper 90’s and humidity way above normal human levels, but after having factory service earlier this Spring, we figured all would be well. We were near level in our camping spot and very shady however,I did not see a lot of condensation dripping from our condensate hoses at the rear corners of the camper. I did notice some condensation running down the back of the camper so, does this point to a clogged drain hose? Is this something I can fix maybe by blowing air up the drain hose? Should I seek factory help? Should I stay outa Georgia in July? As always your knowledge and response is most coveted  Thanks in advance.

Interesting problem, but it sounds like you are on the right track. The volume of condensate coming from the hose at the rear of our trailer during hot/humid weather is high and starts almost immediately when starting up the AC. According to Truma it should be possible to clear a blocked condensate drain by getting up on the roof and clearing any debris (like leaves) blocking traps and the gap underneath the outdoor unit. Have you gotten up there to check things out?

Hello. I have a 2021 LE2 with a Truma Aventa retrofitted by the Florida Truma service center. I had a similar slow drip that developed from the air distributor. To repair it I removed air distributor from the ceiling. I found the Aventa condensation hose was spliced to the original Oliver condensation drain hose and secured with a radiator style hose clamp. That clamp was loose and leaking. A few turns of the screwdriver tighten the clamp and the leak stopped. I made note that if this leak reoccurs I'll find a more robust (maybe spring style) clamp to use.

Keep your tongue raised slightly. We have the Dometic AC and had this happen. The trailer was dead level. I raised the tongue and the issue went away immediately.

 

I also checked the two condensate after our trip and they were open.

So I went to a deep dark place with my Truma in the past because I always had condensate dripping down the curbside of my trailer and none down the street side, or from either condensate lines under the trailer. The condensate lines cross so that meant I was not getting any drainage from the curb side condensate tray.  There is a second outlet on each side of the condensate tray that is supposed to allow water to drain down the side of the trailer if the condensate line is occluded. To make a long story short, the condensate line that drains to the street side was occluded somewhere in between the inner and outer hull, and I could not access this area.  I remedied the problem by getting a y fitting and splicing the tubing coming from the street side into the tubing coming from the curbside. I never had any drainage inside the trailer. I should also mention that when my trailer is absolutely level, the ac lists to the curbside. 
Giving my experience, I would first remove the inner shroud and see if you can identify where the leak is originating.  If you confirm it is condensate, I would then get one of these, https://a.co/d/0hkNDgD0, and pass the brush from the condensate drain tube as far as possible and see if it is visible from inside the trailer, since the inside shroud is removed. I would then do the same on the other side. If you determine one side is occluded, I used this fitting to splice the occluded side to the non occluded side, https://a.co/d/0d6K2v06. Maybe you will find a kink or other occlusion that can be fixed with out splicing.
I had the outer cover off several times during this process, but found that the access and visibility is poor and I would not start there.
