Moderators Mike and Carol Posted November 7, 2016 Moderators Posted November 7, 2016 On the way back from our trip to the east coast we stayed a few days at Lake Ouachita SP just outside of Hot Springs, Arkansas. This is one of the nicest state parks we've stayed at. Most sites in our section had great lake views. Sites had large, level concrete pads and full hook ups (water pedestal was marked "frost resistant"). There was a large picnic table area and another area behind the trailer pad. Good separation between sites. Lots of big mature trees with good shade. We were there the last week in October and the weather was great, 40s to 70s. There was no cell coverage, which could be good or bad depending on how connected you need to be. A 5 minute drive up the hill and our phones got a few bars. $26/night. 8 Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L
zzlay Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 One of our favorite get always. Great sites with lots of room right on one of the cleanest lakes in America. If you return, my wife and I would love to stop by. We're considering an Ollie but have not had the chance to see one. Safe travels. zz
Moderators Mike and Carol Posted November 8, 2016 Author Moderators Posted November 8, 2016 zz, if we're back in the area we'll let you know. We really enjoyed our stay there. Mike 1 Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L

Moderators mountainborn Posted June 26, 2017 Moderators Posted June 26, 2017 Lake Ouachita is about 34 miles long with over 700 miles of shoreline ! There are over one hundred islands in the lake. Betty and I spend several weeks each year fishing there. We will be at the big fir campground the first week of July. Stop in if any one is nearby and we will enjoy campfire, loons and large catfish ! Free boondocking at this location. US Hwy 270 runs west from Hot Springs Arkansas, the campground is about 48 miles West of Hot Springs. Need more info ? Call us at 479.243.5450 I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth 08' Oliver Legacy Elite HULL NUMBER 0003(sold)
