John E Davies Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 This stuff is nifty. I haven't seen any of these pictures before. This one looks very nice, but in general the interior designs are psychotic.... http://www.messynessychic.com/2017/01/06/a-brief-compendium-of-vintage-caravan-brochures/ Messy Nessy is interesting - I have used up a lot of time looking at this site. Moderators Mike and Carol Posted January 7, 2017 Moderators Posted January 7, 2017 The trailer looks nice from the outside. The inside is very "70's", a little over the top. Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L
donthompson Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 I was in Palm Springs during Modernism Week a couple of years ago. The have a vintage trailer show: http://www.modernismweek.com/event/249683/ I don't recall the exact number of vintage trailers on display--best guess is 50-75. Many vintage riveted aluminum trailers that are no longer made. Lots of lovingly restored trailers with color matched restored tow vehicles. There were also a number of trailers from the 40's, 50's and 60's that were unrestored and amazing to see. The owners love to show their trailers and many are still actively using their vintage trailers for camping. If you are in the area during Modernism Week, it's worth a visit. 1 Don 2020 Kimberley Kruiser T3 2019 Ram 2500 Diesel States I visited with my Ollie (Sold October, 2019)

Moderators SeaDawg Posted January 9, 2017 Moderators Posted January 9, 2017 John, thanks for the link. I love vintage trailers (though I love the modern amenities of our Oliver!) Isn't it fun to see how everything old is new again? The poptop teardrop could be a precursor of the Safari condo Alto. The campinia must have been an early relative of the T@b... Tabbert waggenwerks? At any rate, a great way to use a few hours on a chilly winter night..
