Moderators topgun2 Posted October 20, 2017 Moderators Posted October 20, 2017 I'm sure that some of you already know, but, Airstream did (at one time) make fiberglass (laminated) campers. These pictures are of a 1992 model that is currently owned by a couple that are interested in moving up to an Oliver. Interestingly, while this Airstream has laminated fiberglass sides, the roof is aluminum. Moderators Mike and Carol Posted October 20, 2017 Moderators Posted October 20, 2017 Bill, that’s a classic. I knew they made FG trailers at one time but I have never seen one. Mike Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L
Moderators topgun2 Posted October 20, 2017 Author Moderators Posted October 20, 2017 Mike & Carol - Yes it is in very good shape - there is a little de-lamination in a couple of spots, but really not bad for a 25 year old non-molded camper. MAX Burner Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Back in our Airstream days we would do an annual run to Quartzite in JAN. Our friends owned a FG "Squarestream" trailer '92-ish in absolutely mint condition. Very rare and unique rigs. They owned it new from the factory. Interesting. 1 Art, Diane, Magnus & Oscar (double-Aaarrf!) 2022 TUNDRA 2017 LE II; Hull #226 "Casablanca" HAM call-sign: W0ABX
Katjo Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Definitely a unique classic! We previously owned a AS Nest, Airstreams other short lived fiberglass camper. They only made 466 of them. 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 2021 Oliver Elite ll Hull #732 Michigan
