johnwen
Hello all, My name is John and I currently own a 2018 Casita Liberty Deluxe, which my wife and I love. We may be full timing soon and might be in need of a slightly larger FG trailer. We really want a 4 season trailer. The Olivers seem to be the best but are very expensive. We've not seen one yet but are impressed with the reviews and the pictures/videos. I'll need to start with an upgraded tow vehicle. We are looking at the 2019 Nissan Titan king cab. If our home sells we'll probably go to Tennessee to visit the Oliver factory and make our decision then. Thanks for the add to your website 🙂 1 Oliver II #996 "Bessie", 2019 Silverado LTZ 5.3, Veterans https://wenandjohnsadventure.com/
Moderators Mike and Carol Posted January 19, 2020 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2020 Hi John, welcome! I highly recommend a factory tour. You will learn a great deal and understand why Oliver’s are more expensive. A Nissan Titan should do fine as a TV. We’re currently camped just south of Durango, CO and it got down to 15 degrees last night. We were quite warm, we are not winterized and had no issues. Four seasons verified! Ken_Judy
Hi John. We sold our house, ordered an Ollie and have put over 30,000 miles on ours in 17 months. It is built like a tank and tows like a dream. It is perfect for full timing and seeing our beautiful country. Oliver’s don’t seem to be built to a price point which is rare now a days. In my opinion nothing on the market can touch it in quality not to mention the service you receive at any price. Try to make the Oliver rally in May. We did before ordering ours and it was so much fun and informative. Edited January 19, 2020 by Ken_Judy
John E Davies
Welcome. Unless you are especially attracted to the 2019 Titan, you should check out the 2020 model, it is completely redesigned inside and out with more power and much better tech. For full timing with an Elite II the XD version would be much more suitable. https://www.tfltruck.com/2019/11/2020-nissan-titan-and-titan-xd-hold-the-line-on-towing-specs-between-9370-11000-lbs-news/ John Davies Spokane WA 1 SOLD 07/23 "Mouse": 2017 Legacy Elite II Two Beds, Hull Number 218, See my HOW TO threads: Tow Vehicle: 2013 Land Cruiser 200, 32” LT tires, airbags, Safari snorkel, Maggiolina Grand Tour 360 Carbon RTT.
