Johnnie478 2
I would like to learn more about Oliver Travel Trailers. I am currently a boater. I have a 1994 33ft Carver Mariner that I have owned since 1999. I have been into boating most of my life including 4 years on a WWII diesel electric submarine. I also have a 15ft HiLo, which is stored in my garage and have only used for fishing and hunting. I pull it with a 2010 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 hemi. I love to camp but my wife hates smoltering camp fires. When they roaring shes ok with that. At my age, I can see my that my boating days are numbered. If I can convince the boss, I would like to do some traveling with a trailer. The Oliver looks like a quality unit with low maintenance. So my plan is to lurk here and see what I can learn.
John E Davies 989
Welcome, many happy Ollie owners are current or former boaters. I do not know of any submariners. Thanks for your service. I have been reading all the (mostly) excellent Douglas Reeman books; subs and uboats play major roles in all of them. I hope I have a very faint idea of what you went through then. Smoke is going to be a long term problem, especially out west. You can take steps to deal with it, but it will not be going away in our lifetimes. Moderators Mike and Carol 997 Posted September 13, 2020 Moderators Share Posted September 13, 2020 Welcome! Think of the Oliver as a fiberglass boat on wheels. Ask questions as you have them and you’ll get some good answers.
