Moderators topgun2 Posted September 23, 2020 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2020 Just 10 minutes ago I took this pic and had to share. No, I'm not in the Oliver but the pic is from the deck of the beach house. 3 2023 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5EB FX4 Max Towing, Max Payload, 2016 Oliver Elite II - Hull #117 "Twist" Near Asheville, NC
ShallowGal
Enjoy your time at the beach; however, it's just not the same without you at Lake Guntersville. hobo
We were just a few miles south of you on that same day at Holden Beach, NC. In fact, on the 23rd, we drove over to Hampstead, NC (Surf City) to look at a new home my son and wife are purchasing. They're relocating from VA to coastal Carolina. Not my cup of tea of a place to live but nice to visit. 1 2018 Elite II, Hull #414 (the very last 2018 produced). Moderators topgun2 Posted September 30, 2020 Author Moderators Share Posted September 30, 2020 We certainly agree about living versus visiting the beach. I can't tell you the number of times my wife and I have talked about buying a second home on the beach only to slap ourselves back to reality. We "need" another home like we "need" a hole in the .......... And, living at the beach full time without the mountains, trees, motorcycle roads, hiking, etc. is just simply not something we want to do. But, for a vacation, we find the beach, the ocean, the food , and the different life style very refreshing and relaxing. Ray and Susan Huff
There's just something about the coast . . . . . the sound of the surf, sea gulls and fog horns . . . . waves crashing on a rugged coastline . . . . . . exploring tide pools . . . . . . finding treasures in the flotsam and jetsam . . . . . . . watching the approach of an incoming storm . . . . . . sunsets/sunrises. We are fortunate to live just a short drive from the beach while still being surrounded by mountains, trees, streams and country roads. I spent the biggest part of my childhood enjoying coastal living . . . . . some of my greatest memories. 1 Ray and Susan Huff Elite II Twin "Pearl" - Hull#699; delivered December 7, 2020 2013 F350 6.7l diesel Super Duty 4x4 long bed crew cab 1UP-USA Heavy-duty bike rack 2017 Leisure Travel Van Unity Twin Bed (sold)
